There are a significant number of talented Photoshop masters, who offer courses featuring their collections of tools and educational resources. Clearly, they have hired the same marketing firm to advertise their offers, because the language is often identical and it is impossible to not notice the approach of selling material at 95% off the list price. After a sale is posted to last for three days. It is inevitably extended further and then brought back by popular demand.
I realize I can skip over the emails I receive, and completely ignore them; but I find the entire approach sleazy and demeaning to the profession that these digital artists represent; and insulting to the intelligence of the audience to which they are trying to appeal. Some what paradoxically, much of the material they offer is worthwhile.

hate those ads. They go for page after page, making it almost impossible to find the cost of the course. I just delete them. Let's face it - the cost is all-important. I might take a chance for $29.99, but $99.99 is out of the question. The price should be at the top of the first page.
There is so much good quality instruction available for free that I don't want to pay for it.

Often they offer so much extra superfluous material that is unnecessary or not even related to the subject of the main material. They also try to convince you that they will give you the exact settings to take a perfect photo each and every time. If only that were possible, we wouldn't need or want the plethora of post processing programs available.
A step-uncle of mine, years ago told of a person who placed an add for a plan to make a large income of cash. He requested customers to send in a small amount ($1 to $5) and he would send you his plan. Those who sent in the money received the following five word message, "Do exactly as I did."

Yes, I've seen things like that. It seems to be legal because he's telling you how he makes money.
