I am using Adobe Photoshop CC 2019 with Catalina, MacBook Pro 16” Touch Bar 2019 LapTop, before I installed PS, I thought I was gonna have problems and I considered going from Catalina (Which is pre-installed on new 16” MacBook) back down to Mojave but found out I couldn’t down grade, so I installed PS CC 2019, and Adobe Camera Raw 12.3 and after months of usage I haven’t had one single problem not one and I do a lot of editing and I mean 1 to 200 pictures pre shoot, so then I installed LightRoom CC 2019 no problems there eather, but let me add that before I use eather program I turn off WlFi, suggestion from a friend photographer in The Philippines and I haven’t had no problems no issues in Catalina with Photoshop CC and Lightroom CC, nor with Limunar 4, Nix Color Effect,

Whatever makes you happy, WD drives are so cheap and as the saying goes....you get what you pay for I would rather spend a little more to be safe.

How things work out for you I had the same problem a couple of years ago with WD drives lost a lot of images, never use WD drive again they are cheap non reliable drives, I only LaCie drives now are SanDisk SSD never had a problem with these drives, stay away from WD drives, hope you get you information off the drive ?
