AA battery caused leakage in battery compartment

Removing damaged filter ring

I had a similar accident. I know others have recommended WD 40 as a start. I
used a wide mouth pliers and it worked perfectly. Good luck.

I don't know where you were during the take over of our embassy during the Iran troubled times. You perhaps don't recall or
even know that is twas the Canadians who got our embassy staff out of the country. I would also suggest you try and marshal some facts regrading the "lines" of Canadians locked out at home and find it necessary to come to the US for treatment. I am betting you can't. Good luck on regaining a rational perspective. DA
