As a senior citizen that uses a cane or walker many times, I find myself holding my camera (Canon G9X) in one hand while composing the subject. Many times when the camera is set on “automatic” the results will be blurred because of a shaky hand. I have subsequently been setting my camera on “Shutter preferred quote, and while that seems to cure the blurriness, it also changes the depth of field. How can I get both a sharp picture and maintain the fast shutter speed, like around 1/1000?
Why format after transferring files to computer? You normally are given the option to copy or move. If you choose move that should empty the card.
Okay, here is one that should be easy for you hogs. What is the difference between choosing aperture or shutter preferred? And which is better? I am using a Canon G9X which features both choices. For instance, if I want to shoot a subject and have the complete screen in sharp focus, or if I want to aim at a subject and have it in sharp focus but blur.out the foreground and background. This may seem like a basic question, but humor me as I.am but a novice.
Has there ever been a posted list of any digital cameras of any kind to beware of? Cameras that were discontinued by their maker because of a serious flaw? I ask because I purchased one in the past in which the thing froze up entirely leaving only an exclamation Mark on the screen. Such a list would be invaluable if purchasing a used camera.
I highly recommend the Canon G9X.
I would suggest looking at the Canon G9X.
Guitar and banjo. My main profession for most of my life. You may even have one of my CD's in your collection.
I have owned my Canon G9X for a year and it performs beautifully. I have shelved all my other cameras.
Sorry, I meant to write the Canon G9X.
May I suggest the Canon G5X? Works for me.
