Fascinating place! We drove thru there a few years ago in the fall and they had a big craft fair going on inside;

We took the Southern Belle three hour fall trip out of Chattanooga yesterday; mostly cloudy but no rain; beautiful colors like yours; a very worthwhile trip in the fall if the sun is out, and cloudy is not bad either

While I don't have this problem on my IMac, I Googled "unhide favorites in Finder sidebar" which came up with several possible solutions, any of which may depend upon which OS you're using.

The first thing you may want to do is open Finder and in the upper left corner click on Finder and in the pulldown menu click on Preferences; that will get you a window that shows the items in your sidebar; the ones you want to see should be checked.
Another quick solution may be to just turn off your computer (Restart or Shut Down; don't log out);

If these are not the answer for your problem look into some of the other possible remedies in your google search.

there are a couple of different aspects to shooting that you need to remember; one is whether you're familiar with what camera settings to use for a particular photograph (effect); a very important second is whether you are familiary with how to set your camera on the fly! If you haven't mastered both of these aspects, photographing a wedding as a prime photographer is something I would not recommend. Oh yes, you can set your camera in P mode and most shots will turn out OK but you won't get any of those "special" photos most professionals get for you.
I've had a camera around my neck for some 65 years, using a Leica, Kodak, NikonF, D200 or D7100 during those years. I learned the use of the different camera settings early on but now with cameras changing every 6 months learning how to use the camera itself can be a deal breaker. Remember that now you're not only using a camera, you're also using the darkroom, all wrapped up in one activity, and a lot of photographers don't know much about "darkrooms".
As an example I had just moved from a D200 to a D7100 a few years ago, which is quite an improvement and change. I had not had the new camera for more that a couple of days and I had to shoot my sons wedding. Knowing which settings to really use for any given shot was not the problem; the problem was not having enough time to remember how to set it on the fly; it does take some amount of time and experience to learn these things. Generally speaking, P mode will do; but A mode is good for depth of field; S mode for some action shots post wedding, flash for indoors (or out) for reception, people etc. You get the drill-----
A wedding is a very special once in a lifetime event and if you're going to be the prime photog you'd best better be prepared.
You've got some good advice on this thread; enjoy and hope the day really goes well for you.

Check this site out for UP 844

https://www.up.com/aboutup/special_trains/steam/locomotives/844.shtml

Lived not to far from the Santa Fe switch yard in Bakersfield; heard trains being set up for the trip up to Tehachapi, Mojave and beyond all night long; you got used to it.
And the Santa Fe passanger train from Los Angeles arrived early every morning while I walked to (high) school; very interesting seeing them load/unload and otherwise getting ready for the trip north up the valley.

Boy, this is a question you're going to have decide for yourself. What do you usually shoot? Priority 1 goes on U1, priority 2 goes on U2.
We all shoot different subjects and wanting different effects. The answers here will vary all over the map as we're already seeing. Personally I set a U1 for things with a more vivid look and U2 for people with a softer tone. U1 and U2 can be a good quick guide for quick grab shots; in real life, I'm always diddling with buttons and dials on my camera, P mode to M mode; Aperture or Shutter priority, focus settings, the list is endless.
camerapapi said it pretty well, use the manual; after you use a camera a long time you almost know the camera more than the manual does,

Yea, when going through Amarillo an overnight stay must be planned for a trip to the Big Texan -- one of those iconic restaurants across the country that's a mandatory stop. And when traveling east-west which I like to do with a camera in hand is not compatible with going from A to B ---- I never get to B for all the stops for picture taking and sight-seeing!

Even if you can't get close to the dam there is flooding in the valley to be photographed along with associated levee breaks etc.; these types of pictures can end up being historical at some point in the future. Another reason why I don't live in CA anymore ---
