Cute squirrel, The light house was taken through a chain link fence, hence the strange shadow.
I have wanted to make this trip for 40 some years, finally it happened. Everyday was a visual treat.
Curious fact, I could live there and there is a lot of for sale houses facing the lake. And it is a 2 hour drive from anywhere to the nearest Wal Mart.

Grand Marais is the only settlement of size between Duluth and Canada along Hwy 61, the North Shore Drive.
