I just watched it. Very interesting. Nikon declared its determination to become the number one camera manufacturer in the world. The head of the imaging production division said that Nikon will continue to make improvements and advancements to it's line of dslr and mirrorless cameras. The two mirrorless models seem to have been engineered to jump into the mirrorless foray in a very big way. It will be interesting to see the results from testing of the cameras capabilities and the marks they receive. I hope they do very well.

After wishing for Nikon to not screw up it was pleasant surprise to find that Z7 & the Z6 had checked the right boxes. But . . . ONE card slot?! What were they thinking? A $ 3,400 full frame "professional" camera with one card slot? I see some pros going the Sony route after hearing this. This just leaves the door slightly open for Canon for their mirrorless offering and it's probably going to have 2 slots.

As mentioned I think they're micro fibers. They're all over the photo but more evident in the clouds.

Check out Anthony Morganti on you tube, complete tutorials and very easy to understand as he explains everything precisely. Free and divided into short tutorials in sequence. I guarantee you won't need anything else

I completely agree. Unfortunately I found out about Anthony after I signed up and paid for another online video course which I have to admit was pretty good. In fact the Anthony videos go to more detail than the one I paid for! The Adobe website also has some nice tutorials. Don't put out any money for ANY tutorial until you have tried Anthony.

At the Bronx Zoo. Top photo was shot with Lumix G7 with 45-200 zoom 1/250, f/4, ISO 1250 at 100 mm. Bottom photo shot at 1/250, f/4, ISO 800 at 100 mm. Both show eagle in focus but in the the bottom pic the bars disappear. Is it because of the closer shooting distance? Both pics are SOOC.

With my Lumix G7 I set it to AF+MF. If the camera focuses on the screen or bar a turn on the focusing ring allows me to manually focus. In addition a magnified image is displayed on the EVF to aid in focusing. Does the D3300 have the AF+MF feature? And as mentioned previously you can also revert to manual focus.

Thanks for the responses. I'll keep the RW2 files for storage is cheap anyway.

My Lightroom 5.7.1 cannot read Panasonic RW2 files so I convert them first to Adobe DNG before importing to Lightroom. My question is do I still the RW2 files when I already have the DNG files? Does the DNG file contain all the info in the original RW2 files? Thanks.

The point of asking those questions is to learn. If a particular lens is better than another or designed for a certain purpose which enhances that type of photo, the question is valid. I am often curious as to settings used for certain images. I have learned much by observing how others do things. Is that not how we learn? If you are not interested in this data simply ignore it. Others likely will appreciate it.

One must carefully read Consumer Reports' analysis of electronic devices with particular attention to the criteria utilized for evaluation. Frequently those criteria are skewed toward persons with less than enthusiast levels of interest and are therefore of limited value to knowledgeable consumers. I know having been a subscriber for over 30 years. Even guys like Rockwell, Northrup and to a much lesser extent, Perry and Hogan, are sometimes off on there opinions about equipment. And they are experts. Do you really expect anything better from Consumer Reports?

Rockwell, Northrup are not only evaluators they are also very experienced camera users. Are they always "right"? There is sometimes some disagreements among then but they would never never rate the D750 at the bottom of the list. Plus as pointed out camera experts have rated this camera very favorably. The D7500 is not a mass market camera, the area where CR is good at.
