Great work capturing the end of a beautiful day. The silhouette of the dead tree enhances the scene. Thank you for posting this, 2buckskin.

Stoneleigh is designated as Natural Lands and is open daily from 10am to 5pm. There are over 40 acres with well maintained paved paths, restrooms, benches (throughout), covered table/seating areas, and beautifully maintained grounds with a large variety of trees (labeled) which are home to many birds and other wildlife. I’ve heard that some long-eared owls are resident there but I didn’t see any. It’s a great place for a walk - or a picnic. There are two parking lots off of County Line Avenue in Villanova.

Today was my first visit - an adjacent property of 13.5 acres was purchased by the local school district which wants to cut down most of the very old trees and put buildings on it. Owls, fox, coyotes, and many other wildlife will be displaced. A group that is fighting to preserve the land saw some of my photos on Facebook and contacted me to photograph the wildlife there. I'll be joining at least one person on Tuesday to do a walk through. So, today I decided to see what Stoneleigh is like - and wow - it's really awesome. I'll be taking many walks there this summer.
I went there around noon today and saw several small birds - got rained on but the walk was enjoyable.

I think the Birds are called Scissortailed Flycatchers. Try as I might, I couldn't get one without a wire in the frame
Note the Orb Weaver Spider sitting nervously in the center of his masterpiece. There were dozens of these collected in a relatively small area with the early morning sun shining through them. It reminded me of Africa where we saw the same thing one early morning.
There were hundreds of these Thistles growing every where. Every one of them accompanied by Butterflys, Bees and sundry other bugs of all descriptions.
I hope you like these!

Excellent work capturing these in spite of rude people. I love the picture of the killdeer.

I finally reserved some time to spend an afternoon in one of the blinds I put out a few weeks ago. the birds are getting more use to them being there, although the camera shutter tends to disturb them a bit. Enjoy.

This old barn was 2 farms down the highway from mine in Tn. It was so covered in weeds that I didn't even notice it the first couple of years we lived there. After living there for more than 30 years, enough weeds died down so you could see it from the highway and I took this shot of it.

Looks like that ol' barn isn't going to be around much longer. Nice capture, Jo.

Five miles (or thereabouts) from the Potash take-out, an uncharacteristic downriver thundershower rapidly approaches. Rafting on the Colorado River.

You captured a dramatic shot of the storm, Cany. I would not want to be rafting with the approaching thundershower looming overhead.

Spent nine days there setting up a home we are going to be using as an air B&B so mostly a working vacation. My wife only allowed me about six hours one afternoon and one morning for about three hours to do photography. All the shots were taken at Magnolia Gardens or the Pitt Street Park in Old Village, Mt. Pleasant, SC except for the large view of the container ship which was taken from my daughter and her husband's dock.

Very interesting shots. I especially like the flowers.

I have never seen what I am calling a sunbow! I'm sure it is probably more common than I know, but it was a first for me to photograph. The dynamic range of the Canon R5 really allowed me to lighten the shadows of the rock.
Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
