Are you saying the dSLR market dies with us? :?

I think the demand will get to a point where cost efficient production will be difficult forcing manufactures to limit or stop producing the products we have today. So that asks the question: what will our product design be in 5-10 years?

The other major factor is the generation(s) of people who have grown up only knowing or using a cell phone camera. As us more mature (notice i did not say older!) adults become the DSLR minority this will have a major effect on the market.

I still struggle with this choice. I currently shoot JPEG unless I'm on a "once in lifetime" trip. Mainly since I don't have enough spare time for post processing. I'm not sure I fully understand how this article proves one over the other, based upon the the reference shoot being nothing of substance.

Did you have a road bike first or jumped right into off-road? I'm currently riding a road bike but thinking of adding a trail bike. Also do you carry a camera with you other than cell phone? Tks

The entrance area for the suites is different than the normal gate entrances. Our company had a suite through last season and I was never stopped for bringing in a longer lens. Most times I mounted my 35 on camera the long lens was loose.

Have done the same, but they are more adept to voltage surges and storms.

Thanks Dbotnick.
FYI Nikon does have a mirrorless camera, and I recently read a rumor that this fall Nikon will offer a full frame mirrorless camera that will accept current F-Mount Nikon lenses.

I heard same rumor. Will be waiting to see how that develops. Main reason for going mirrorsless is weight/size since I am doing a lot of travel. But my heart would want to jump at a Nikon FF mirrorsless.

Have subscribed to the electronic version (iPad) for past few years. I do get enjoyment from it and some tips (refresh the old memory). I am contemplating a swith from Nikon to mirrorless since it seems that both Nikon and Cannon do not want to seriously move into that market I would probaly not renew.

It's all about economics... As sales/production drops for DSLR this will create a high cost structure over time and will also contribute to the lower volume. I truly think both Cannon & Nikon are laughing behind closed doors, as mirroless manufactures keep their prices high which in my mind, prevents DSLR users from converting. Has anyone thought about what the next major technology jump will be beyond mirrorless?
