Welcome to the Hog!
If I were in Dallas probably the first thing I would want to photograph would be the Dallas Cowboy's Cheerleaders! Wish I could be more help but it's been 20 yrs or so since I've been there. As I recall there are some nice views of the city from some low hills to the east or southeast of it.

You could try Southfork Ranch in Parker, Texas. JR won't be there, but you might see some Texas Beauties.

Oh no, no, no, no....
You can't go through life with a mind like this: I
You need to open it up: 0

David must be on assignment. He lives there in Dallas, I believe.

I was thinking some of the best photo ops in Dallas are in San Antonio.
But I wore a young man's clothes the time I was in the middle of Texas. Lordy it was flat!
And when I traveled to San Antonio, it was the Southern Route, Hwy 8. 'Bout 20 years ago.

I personally like the Arboretum downtown, the Arts District, Dealy Plaza and 6th Floor Museum, the Trinity River and Margaret Hunt Bridge, Stockyards and Sundance Square over in Ft. Worth, the Dallas or Ft. Worth Zoo. And, believe it not... a tour of AT&T Cowboys Stadium will yield a lot of photo ops. Come again in October... lots of ops at the State Fair!

I you find any, please let me know. I am into abandoned amusement parks factories, schools, sanitariums, hospitals, police stations, farm houses. Thank you, Jim

If you like cattle, try the cattle drive in front of Dallas City Hall.

These are excellent choices. Pick the ones that interest you most and fit your available time. Don't forget that things aren't close together down here so don't spread yourself too thin by forgetting to include the travel time.

San Antonio is a great place for photos, but it is about 4 hours south of Dallas. Think NYC to Wash, DC.
The suggestions for Dallas are good ones. There is a bronze sculpture of a cattle drive at Pioneer Plaza. Also, check out the skyline at night.
Ft Worth is about 1 hr west, and the Stockyards in Old Town are also good.

"The Mustangs of Las Colinas" is the largest equestrian sculpture in the world and it is in Irving, only about 10 minutes away from Dallas. It's on the highway between DFW and Dallas.
