If my monitor color is not calibrated right, them my colors on the pictures when printed are off. I have moved my sliders to far one way or the other. If you can not see the colors correctly, then how can you process your images to your liking. Then why are photographers spending several $$ for monitor calibration? Am I missing something?

Needing advice on a calibration system. My pictures are being over processed. The saying, "you get what you pay for". I do not want to go cheap, but not to expensive.

Sometimes when you do not have good sun to bring out the colors, there is nothing you can do. The law of the sun and lighting.

Yes, was looking for tutorials which are better than trying to read a manual.

Thanks for the input. The link was very helpful. After you select the case how do you set the tracking sensitivity -0+, accel/decel tracking 0-1-2 and the AF pt auto switching 0-1-2?

Needing help in AF. We shoot with a Canon 5Diii, manual, and BBF. How do you set the AF1: AF configuation tools for sports? I am losing my focus tracking. We shoot all high school sports from soccer, FB, track, SB, BB and all indoor activities.

Pablo8 - You need to rethink your comment. How did you learn new techniques in photography? Maybe you know everything about taking great photos, I do not. I set up this opportunity. I wanted to learn how to take these pictures. I am not taking a dime for this. It is a learning opportunity that I set up. How did you learn?. I learn by doing, I learn by trial and error. I take it you do not like new challenges.

I have the opportunity to take some football pictures using theatrical fog. Either the player will be walking into or out of the fog, a group picture with fog around their feet. These will be taken outdoors in the evening. Cameras are Canon 5D III and a D60. The available lens are 75-200mm 2.8, 24-70mm 2.8, and a prime 85mm, 1.4. I also shoot in manual. I can use all the advice you can give me. I googled it and not having much luck.

Sigma made two 70-200mm F2.8 lenses, one with OS and one without. While they are different lenses, taking different hood, both hoods are interchangable. The problem comes in when people put the old version hood on the new version lens, it will vignette.
You said the hood came with the lens. Did you buy it NEW from an authorized dealer? In that case it will definitely come with the right hood. If you bought it used or off Ebay or Amazon then its entirely possible you have the wrong hood on it.
Please post a sample. br Sigma made two 70-200mm F... (show quote)

I bought it new (US warrant) about six months ago. My best bet would be to contact the store/company.

Thanks.

I just ordered a hood that is supposed to work on my lens. I will see if it works me. Perhaps call B&H or adorama as I did and see what they tell you.

thanks
