Needing help in AF. We shoot with a Canon 5Diii, manual, and BBF. How do you set the AF1: AF configuation tools for sports? I am losing my focus tracking. We shoot all high school sports from soccer, FB, track, SB, BB and all indoor activities.

I typically use AI Servo, case 4 unless there are objects between me and the subject, where I use case 2. I will be interested to see what others suggest (I am not a pro by any means, but do shoot HS wrestling and FB regularly)

I do the same type sports with 5D M III & 7D M II. I find I use numbers 2 & 5 with pretty good success. When I shoot sports, I try to arrive 30 minutes to 1 hour ahead of the scheduled event. Usually I can shoot an earlier event or at least warm - ups. That provides time for some experimentation and checking to see the results I am achieving - make adjustments, which include trying several different AF Configuration settings. Here is the same link. Thanks for the input. The link was very helpful. After you select the case how do you set the tracking sensitivity -0+, accel/decel tracking 0-1-2 and the AF pt auto switching 0-1-2?

Each tracking case has default settings for sensitivity, etc. (that's the difference between cases - each has a set of different standard/default settings for each of those variables)
