Thank you everyone....good comments
This is a photo of my G.Granddaughter who likes lots of hair. Another trial with my d7100.....tell me what you think. (fair, good, great.) Thanks.
My granddaughter was my model. at 18yrs. she does not want a photo with a mouth full of braces. So when mouth closed, lips appear fat or larger than normal. I tried a few things but they all looked fake. Any suggestions??
About 34 years ago film cameras were used to take most weddings, etc. I had a studio and used a Hassy (film) for most all my work. I retired from that and went into the electrical field and retired again. Then went into the large Mfg. field as a supervisor and retired again (final). After my wife of 56 yrs. Passed I needed to go back to the photography. Found it rather daunting for an old fellow. So bought a couple of nikon bodies. one is a d7100 and a 1/2 doz. lens after learning much right here. Thanks to all the experence, I learned slowly.
This pix I posted was taken with the Hassy at one of the weddings.
I just got back from Maui and after waiting3 weeks for sunsets I got only 2 days worth and poor at that. My cousin lives there. I was using my d7100 all over Maui. I dropped it on a tile floor and it didn't seem to faze it one bit. You will love your camera. Nice pix.
It is the name of the place (Huntington Beach,Cal.) were I was born 82 yrs. ago. a good question sailorsmon.
I use a d7100. it is one tough camera. Dropped it from my belt (3ft+) and figured it was gone. Picked it up from the tile floor and continued shooting. just my 2 cents worth.
I took this pic while visiting HB where I was born 82 years ago. Now everything is different...very different. Only thing the same is the street signs. The 1st 2 piers were made mostly of wood. Pilings and all.

Seems I have forgotten download thing....help please
This is one of my favorite pix. It is a native to Africa and was growing in Maui. Its name is Protea. It is pronounced: Pro-tay
Thanks Z-S Grampa. Gives me something to seriously consider.
A big thanks to everyone......
Thanks Jack, In it day....I was younger....I am too young now to quit.
I have a ver big family that takes very good care of me. I am disabled to some degree but I would rather not think about it. My family seems to have a long life span. Perhaps that has something to do with my "young" looks. I was married for 56yrs and took care of my wife (disabled) for the last 25yrs. She passed last Feb. So now my time is consumed by the d7100. It seem that I am more satisfied if I am able to "learn" and at my age (I am finding out) it is becoming less easy. Sorry this turned out so long.
