At one time maybe 100 yrs. ago practical thinking people condemned the "Horseless Carriage". Practical people said it was a foolish machine that would never replace the horse. Some communities would not allow them to drive through their town because they frightened the horses. Thank goodness the practical thinking people lost the argument. There is no water to manage. One community in Texas is recycling waste water for use as potable water. There is a lack of snow melt in the spring. Take a look at Lake Meade water levels and dried up lakes in Texas. Las Vegas is paying homeowners to remove their grass lawns and replace with stone. You need to watch something other than Fox News.

I don't know how informed you are, but there are serious water shortages in some western communities due to drought fueld by climate change. Why don't you try drinking your oil. Fossil fuels are old technology. The future is in alternate fuels. But you block heads just don't get it.

Wrong. Alaskan oil has been sold overseas for years. Companies will sell their products at the best price and where ever they can. Their goal is to return profits to their investors. I live in a state with large natural gas reserves. This gas is pumped out and a large portion is shipped overseas. They don't wait for us to use it here. If they did they woul go broke.
The pipeline will not effect my life in any way. If I lived in one of the areas in question, I would be concerned. As far as oil prices, they are a commodity and prices are set by the open market.
Oil prices are set by speculators on the open market. They sell at the given market price. They don't give discounts like J.C. Penneys. Most of that oil will be shipped overseas.
You may have lived with officials who run the c*******t (One Party System) but that doesn't describe what the c*******t philociphy is. You may have had people who corrupted their system just as we do here. That's why you shouldn't group all democrats together. There are some pretty poor republicans out there also.
