It looks like a waxbill to me - a non-native bird.
You nailed it. Juveniles don't have the yellow eye.
Looks like a Western Bluebird.
[quote=traderjohn]"When I first joined quite a few years ago, this site was a much more friendly and welcoming site, now, it seems often it is a site to belittle, chastise, and show one's dominance and superior photographic skills over others. Understand, I am not using a broad brush in making this statement, there are still many good, helpful members on the Hog, I am just dismayed at the increasing "put down" responses I am seeing, as opposed to helpful responses".
If you're into bird photography, Mark Smith has some well-done videos for watching (not so much educational).

I confess. I still have Windows 97 on a computer that refuses to die.
I use a Rothco Outback Trailblazer that is a jacket that has sleeves that zip off to make a vest. In cool mornings I have the sleeves on and when it warms up I take them off and put them in the back pocket of the vest.

I've tried to look at Steve's most recent video on Nikon 500 PF lens. All I get is a buffering circle going on endlessly in the center. I can get all his other videos instantly with no problems. Does anyone have a clue as to what may be happening? I've tried YouTube and his site without success. I've tried on two different computers. Help!
