I've gone back to my roots as a painter, using some of my photo references for this theme, "Roses."
In a college painting class eons ago, we were given the assignment of painting a vase full of roses so that it wouldn't be a cliche. I have started a series with that effort in mind, hoping these won't be too "sappy" for most people. I got a little carried away but had fun with raindrops in the second and may start adding one or two to future paintings if they make sense. See if you can find the raindrop in the painting of the white rose. The leaves were not part of the original photo references. In some cases I cut some off of my bushes and held them as I painted. All are acrylic on canvas.

Wow you are a very talented painter Vicki!
These are really good. I like the colors and technique used. What medium did you use to paint these?
Will
WOW! Wonderful. (The raindrop is on the tip of a leaf, lower right side). Keep going on your new passion.
Very nice. I can't paint very well, but try to process photographs sometimes as painterly. You might like this wallpaper that I created from one shot.

Your paintings are so detailed they look like photographs. Outstanding to say the least Vick.
To answer your question the rain drop is on the edge of the green leaf of the right side.
These are fantastic Vicki. I occasionally do acrylic on canvas but exclusively cartoons for the grandkids. Today is my little granddaughter ‘s 5th Birthday and I’ll give her the “Magic Unicorn” I just finished. If I get a cute pose of her with it I will post.

Gorgeous, great work. How long does each painting take you?
