There are no user friendly cameras now. To be competitive, they all have near infinite lists of features controlled by choices in book length menu systems.

All newer cameras also have a superlative "Auto" setting derived from decades of technological development. Auto will make any camera or phone user friendly.

Back in the early 70's my office of employment was in downtown Austin, TX. About 6 blocks from my office was a gunsmith shop. During lunch brake, I walked a Remington 700, 25-06 right through the middle of Austin to the gunsmith. I got some "looks". Otherwise, no problem.
