And like no one on this site has ever made a post about new equipment that they have received.
Probably thousands of post about oh look what the big brown truck just brought me.

Correct.

As a former 'Press Photographer' I sometimes felt pangs of guilt with fellow photographers who continued shooting away during speeches, long after I had stopped shooting (Having got my needs 'In The Can' in the first 30 seconds). If I ever became that important to have been making a speech to an assembly, I would have been tempted to inform the stills photographers..."You have one minuet to click-away...After that, stop shooting, and let others listen in peace and quiet." Little hopes that the Press-Pack would have obliged though. In the UK we have Protocols when photographing royalty. Getting a Pass was not easy/ or guaranteed. Keeping ones distance was sometimes tested by 'odd toggies' who would attempt to push the boundaries, and spoil it for the rest of us who played by the rules. Doesn't seem too rigid these days though.

Pros are not likely to be using live view (except to chimp) in a journalistic environment, so you’re going to get both the mirror slap and shutter noise. As for mirrorless, the majority of those pros are still using Canon or Nikon DSLRs (for all the usual reasons). Will that change over time? Slowly.

It is annoying when so called "pros" need to shoot 10-12 frames per second for subjects standing still - they must be looking for that one perfect shot for their 40 x 60 canvas for their living room.

You're trying to sell a camera ... and you post a photo of a box?

The box shows the original price, and some people have a "thing" about lens and camera boxes. I don't.

Why would you "no longer need" this TC because you bought prime tele lenses? Those are exactly the lenses that TCs were made to be used with.

No.
Nikon calls the D500 it's flagship DX camera. (the best or most important)
The D7500 is an "enthusiast" level, one down, but still an awesome camera.

Menus and buttons on the D500 closely resemble those found on full-frame pro cameras.

Compared to the D7000, the D7500 is on the same level in the high end category. And the D500 is one level lower, in the advanced category. If it is upgrading that you want to do, then the D800 model series or above is where you want to look. With the D7500 or D500, you would certainly get a newer camera, but not an actual upgrade from the D7000.

The D500 reference is incorrect.

You can go and get a new camera, or just have the shutter replaced (actually not all that spendy), but have to weigh in the value of the old camera against it to see which is the way to go. I have a camera I shoot with that is rated at 100,000 clicks, but it has way over 400,000 clicks now, so you never know!

Why can't you share where the landscapes are?

There is a joint US Military/UFO repair and refueling station in the general area, all info is on a "need to know only basis."

Get a 3-section monopod.

I use the Gitzo GM4532 3 section monopod (1.5 lb., 66 lb. capacity) and the Wimberly WH-200 gimbal with Nikon's 400 and 600mm lenses for motorsports. It solved the problem I first had when I tried using my Manfrotto 681b which with a 26 lb. capacity was not up to the task with 9 and 10 lb. lenses, a 3.1 lb gimbal and a 3 lb. body. The Manfrotto is a great monopod for certain things, but it's like a toothpick compared to the GM4532.
