I personally prefer Canon to Nikon (except for point & shoot)... I would still never say that about someones equipment. I totally agree that it is about the photographer more than the equipment in almost any situation.
Some people just feel the need to put someone down in order to lift themselves up.
Must be on their way to deliver some presents with Santa. I really like the first shot of the deer, good contrast overall.
Great cap, where was this?
Very cool shot. I really like the color transitions both in the clouds and across the mountain tops. I'd love to have been there to see it in person.
Wow Ed, Love the Strawberries and the grapes. I'm torn between which one I like better but both are amazing shots!
Just wondering, how many takes did it get to get that perfect shot? I've tried similar with wine and went through a whole bottle before I got even remotely close to what I wanted. I eventually gave up because I was tired of wasting the wine lol.
You should be able to find a T2i or T3i for that price on Craigslist. Just do yourself a favor and play with each and every function and check, check and re-check the images on a laptop as you shoot them.
Not saying everyone on craigslist is out to cheat someone but treat it like everyone on craigslist is out to cheat you. I was able to find some amazing deals on CL but I always get nervous about buying used photo equipment. Matter of fact that's where I got my T2i that I'm using right now... $300.

I think the 'strokes' are a little big but you can play with those settings until you get what you like.
I don't see any reason not to have a hood unless you are shooting in a very tightly crowded environment with a long range telephoto.
I have done concerts and the bars / clubs were packed wall to wall. It did get to be very crowded and the hood did get knocked off a few times from people falling into me or bumping it. It eventually got cracked and it wouldn't clip back on. I haven't replaced it yet but I plan on ordering the replacement once I recover from Christmas.
Matter of fact, I haven't done another concert since for that reason.
Wow, it would have been a nice shot! I'd like to see some more from the day.
Just my opinion, the L-series is the best you can get for canon. I have a Tamron and love it but I know the Canon would be a much better lense for a little more money. I paid about $800 for my tamron to save $400. I am wishing I would have spent the little extra for my investment.
The model release will be signed giving me rights to distribute the photos which is standard practice.
They want to try and turn an income from some of the images so they asked if we could sell them and there will be a contract in place saying it's, for example, a 50/50 split since I will be doing the marketing of the images.
I do SEO and basic web design so I know how competitive this market is, I was looking for an adult version of a stock photo site with a good reputation.
lol, i wish I had a monkey that would come wash my dishes!
lol, law enforcement... really? For taking pictures of a consenting adult who shows proper state issued ID, signs a release and has approached ME on the subject... good luck with that buddy. Tell ya what, I'll call myself and let ya listen in. How's that work? USC2257 covers me.
Thanks Glider. It will be more for promo stuff for the strippers (they want to sell some images online though) and maybe a little 'solo' work. I'm not into doing full blown porn.
Actually, I haven't even talked about these things to anyone unless they ask me first. An old co-worker asked what I was up to and I told her I had since been doing photo work and that is where the question came in... the rest are from her daughter and her stripper friends.
Ha, happy looking dogs. I would just try using a faster shutter speed and a little more light.
Like boberic said, it's not about how anyone likes the shots but the customer.
Good work in my opinion.
