I went into Fry's to buy ink for my HP2600 and it was about $44. The salesman said I should buy the whole printer @ $ 26. on sale, take the ink from it and throw the printer away. I bought it and got the ink but could not bring myself to throw away a new printer. I later gave it to one of my grandkids.
I flew with Air/see rescue for 3 years in the Rockie Mountains. We NEVER flew in fog. I recall one time some pilots wanted to when we knew almost the exact place an AF plane went down. But the decision was a smart NO. Flying in the mountains is often difficult and fog complicates flying.
Great pictures of wonderful people. I know you love them a lot. I'm from Texas too!
Let us know who you select and how well you like it. I'm working on a book for a Christmas gift. I did this several years ago on our family history and it was highly accepted. Some companies will offer your book as a PDF for a small price.
I've done 10 books and tried out several different companies. Blurb was about the best but we're the highest cost. I used MyMemmories last time, ordering 15 copies. I liked what they did and price was lower than Blurb.
They do a lot of talking about the treasure to pad the time of each show. And they do a lot of repeat events again to pad the show time. I got tired of this and quit watching it.
Great pictures Graham. I always look forward to your post!!
Love it and so do my grand children!
I've had 2 problems in the last month of late deliveries. One was out of Canada and the other seemed "lost" from their message. In the same month I had a 1day delivery in about 12 hours.
1. Backup asap.
2. Try a new cord.
3. Change to a full size drive intended for backup. Passports are intended for temporary backup.
My daughter was using a Passport for backup and it stopped working. I was able to get important data off her drive but it took a lot of time.
I use 2 passports for temporary backup on specific projects, but at the same time they are backed up on my backup drive.
American and SouthWest are not grounding their planes because there is no factual evidence that it is a flaw in the aircraft. I know several 737 pilots and they believe it has to do with pilot training.
I'm an old pilot with over 3,000 hours and have been involved in training some pilots from other countries. Some are attentive to the training and others do not pay attention to the training and just look at it as something they are being forced to do. Pilots from one country had many accidents, some fatal because they did not pay attention. Even some here in the US felt their mandatory "type" training was a waste of time. I had one that had a very high superego and refused to pay attention to the ground school before we flew. I allowed him to make a mistake that shut off the engine at about 7,000 feet. I got his attention then!!! I told him to keep up his airspeed while we look for a place to land. (we were flying HIS airplane) Then I asked if he would like to try and restart the engine. YES!!!! It was easy to do if you knew how. I had him do it and it started right up. I had his attention. Several years later I heard that he bought an aerobatic plane and died in it while flying inverted, pulled it into the ground!
I've had peripheral neuropathy for many years, I am 85 now. I have to be careful of movement where I look up and at night outside I have to use a cane. What has helped me the most is some physical therapy and to continue the exercises in the house once a day. I practice my balance at a counter with my eyes shut. I can grab something if I start to fall. I feel for anyone that has balance problems for any reason. Falling and hitting your head can result in dementia over time.
