I just bought a box of genuine Canon ink for my iP4500 - $71.27. Amazing! I use generic ink occasionally, but I also like to have the "real stuff" on hand. One thing I like about this old printer is that it can print duplex automatically.

I just bought new Canon ink for my TS9020. What I like about the TS9020 is, not only does it do excellent text documents, it does outstandingly excellent black and white prints and excellent color prints also, thanks to its 6 ink cartridges.

I ran across a sale on the ts9020 printer a year ago for $29. I bought 3 and am on my second one. The inks included cost more than buying ink separately.

I got an HP 2600 printer form Amazon a couple of months ago for $26 on temporary sale. Amazing! A whole printer - with ink - for less than the price on one ink cartridge.

check out the HP printer ink program. You will not have to buy another cartridge again. They monitor your printer and when it gets to a certain level, they send you a cartridge in the mail. Cheap monthly fee. I pay $6.00 a month and get a color or a bw cartridges in the mail.

I went into Fry's to buy ink for my HP2600 and it was about $44. The salesman said I should buy the whole printer @ $ 26. on sale, take the ink from it and throw the printer away. I bought it and got the ink but could not bring myself to throw away a new printer. I later gave it to one of my grandkids.

I don't know about other printers, but with HP2600 series printers the included cartridges do not contain a full supply of ink, only enough to set up the printer plus a few more pages.
Also, I researched HP ink on Ebay, and it looks like many low cost genuine HP cartridges are actually these starter cartridges. Caveat Emptor!

Not quite sure what you're trying to tell me. I bought my TS9020 new a few years ago when they were first introduced. Although Canon no longer makes the TS9020, they still make TS series printers. My TS9020 still works as good as the day I bought it. A set of Canon ink cartridges, 6 of them, will cost as much as you paid for your 3 printers, but, the cartridges that come with a new printer are only startup cartridges that do not contain as much ink as refill or replacement cartridges do.

I've found that generic inks don't do well on my photos. However, a generic black ink is ok for printing text.
