I'd be there in a flash, but it's a long ways from Kennett Square, PA, to Mesa, Arizona. Here's hoping you get a good crowd as that will significantly increase the number of happy people.
And I was an AO2, stationed at NAS Brunswick, Maine. (Both it and MCAS El Toro are now gone.) I was out with the Chief doing magazine inspections. We got back to the shop and, as we entered, we immediately noted that the entire ordnance crew was sitting and watching television. The Chief said, "Hey, what's going on? Don't you have any work to do?" C.P. Wolfe, an Airman, immediately turned around and said, "Shhhhh, Kennedy's been shot." The Chief looked like he'd been punched between the eyes, was quiet for a bit, then said, "Well, sh*t, as you were." and went into his office. Five minutes later, the Chief came out of his office and told us to go to our quarters; our work day was over.
What followed was the darkest weekend I can remember,
Wow!! Your set of images is absolutely superlative.
A great set showing the beauty of a wonderful place. Excuse a minor quibble: the fence post in #1 and the sign in #2 distract from otherwise superlative images.

If I didn't already have an F3HP I'd make an offer. On the flip side, the Nikkor 43-86mm f/3.5 is perhaps the worse lens Nikon has ever made. Sorry.
You are 200% correct in your evaluation of the 43-86mm lens. It's the only thing I've ever felt guilty about when I sold it.
Where in Italy is this garden? I thought I'd visited all the "important" gardens in Italy, but I missed this one. Now I have one more reason to travel.
I’m sorry, but except for a little green I don’t see the colors.
Where in PA are you going?
What fun! Thank you for sharing this.
I love the chain link fence in the foreground. It and the flag work together to hand a complete scene to the viewer.
A wonderful set of images. You nailed it.
Well, you certainly do it with skill..
I teach garden photography at a major public garden and woul be over the moon if I had captured these images. They’re spectacular.
My mother was right: Truth is better than fiction. I love your discovery.
Years ago I worked in a lab at a paint factory. The chemist for whom I worked had his lunch stolen a couple of times, so he brought in a sandwich that he had laced heavily with phenothalin (sp?), the active ingredient in Ex-Lax. We waited for the next day and learned then that a guy who worked the night shift in the plant had had a horrible day. He started off by having severe diarrhia but ended with a car so soiled and foul smelling he had to take it to be cleaned by a professional.
