I noticed the same problem. The new PS and LR cause a screen freeze type of crash while using Topaz products. It does not freeze all the time, though. I have not found the key that causes the crash.
The online Canon learning center explains all this and much more. There are video files by Rudy Winston to explain almost everything about the 7D2 camera. You can get your questions answered without having to read a thing.
No it won't. But, hopefully, it will end home video as we know it. IMO, there are few things worse than home videos. People think they are Steven Spielberg and that their kids and pets are movie stars. The person making the video is usually the only willing audience for this crap.
The new Sigma 50mm f1.4 Art lens is one of the sharpest lenses I have ever used. I only say that because of the corner to corner sharpness of the images I get from it. Keep in mind that just about every lens has a sweet spot where it is extremely sharp right in the center. I have used many Canon, Nikon, and Sigma lenses. The prime macro lenses always seemed to give me the sharpest photos with my style of photography.
I preordered a 7D2 just after I read the specs. I think it was the morning of September 15th. This spring I traded my original 7D for a 70D to see if the tracking was better and to see if the tiltable viewing screen would be of use to me.
Most of the time I use my 5D3, but there are occasions when I want the crop factor of the Aps C sensor. I found that the 70D looks, feels, and acts like an amateur camera compared the 7D, so when I got the opportunity to get the updated 7D2 I jumped on it. What really convinced me that the new style 7D would be good for me is that the layout of controls is nearly identical to my beloved 5D3. Switching between cameras will be a lot less confusing. And, oh yes, I really want the increased weather protection.
My most used lenses are macro lenses. I only traded in the 150mm macro because they came out with an OS version. The resolution of each lens is fantastic. I liked them so much that I also bought the 180mm OS version. These are both really great lenses. I do not think that any manufacturer makes a better macro lens. I also own the Canon 100mm IS macro lens. I only use this one when I want a shorter focal length.
