There was a limit of 2TB with some devices (and 2GB) that caused various problems, but I'm not aware of anything between 500GB and 1TB.

I ignored a unknown caller from my cell phone last night. It turns out that it was the police calling to say that they found my wife's Drivers License on the sidewalk. So, we had to drive back into town to retrieve her DL.

I guess that I should have at least checked the voice mail that they left....

If You really need "fast charging" option, this charger won't fit Your need.

If you push the "current" button, it cycles the charging current from 200 to 500, 700 and 1000. This works for all modes, the corresponding discharge current being half of the charge current. If you have the time, the slower you charge them, the better it is for the batteries, but 500 isn't too bad.

We have a reservation for a place in the path of totality, but right now, the forecast for next Monday in Texas is... 90% cloud cover and rain.

I remember seeing a documentary many years ago on that same subject. Folks there had some truly remarkable cottage industries fabricating various parts to keep those classic cars running; they had no other choice.

I was in Cuba last month. There are other (non-US) cars on the street: Kia, Hyundai, Skoda, etc. But, still a surprising number of classic US cars. Most, but not all, are for taxis and tourists.

We went for a joy ride in an classic convertible. We had no problem; but another car, that our friends were in, broke down. No problema: a few other drivers stopped to help, and it was running again in no time.

La Crosse model BC-700 will do it

La Crosse is my favorite, most used.

I also have an OPUS BT-C3400, which will also charge LI-ion.

Eneloop don't require too much care, but other NiMh need to be "tested" on the La Crosse about once or twice a year to keep them in good working condition. Otherwise, their capacity will drop to the point that they can't be revived.

I meant what provided you with the "blue or green". CrystalDiskInfo evidently.

Yes, see the picture in Jerry's post. Either the "Health Status" or the dots above the drive letters.

The temperature may be temporarily yellow, but that doesn't mean a bad drive (yet).

The individual dots to the left of the attributes will turn yellow too, but you have to know how to interpret them. It could be a temporary problem, that the drive will handle (by marking the sectors as bad and mapping in good spare sectors, therefore healing the drive), or a more serious problem (a head is bad, so it can't read or write to any sectors), or a intermittent problem (contamination in the drive, so random sectors continue to go bad), etc.

It can be a lot of work to figure out if you have confidence that the drive is healed. And, if they are old drives, is it really worth the time and risk? ...Other than just to satisfy your own curiosity.

FYI, one person's opinion of the problem at Boeing:

"What Boeing did to all the guys who remember how to build a plane"

What's green?

Yes, blue. Sorry, I was doing that from memory, and I CRS... either that or I'm Blue-Green colorblind.

Use CrystalDiskInfo (or similar) to look at the SMART data, and make sure they are "Green".

If they are "Yellow", it is a little hard to interpret, but use caution before putting any critical data on them.

I know that a lot of Texas is mountains, desert and badlands.

Technically, very few "Mountains" (over 2000 ft) in Texas. I was taught in school that there were NO mountains in Texas, but according to Wikipedia, they lied to me (shocking).

Pretty much all of the farm-able lands was already being used as farm lands (Unless you want to start cutting down the forests).

I say "was" because now farmlands are being converted to solar farms (more money in it).

Interesting tid-bit (getting way off topic here): when the farmlands are plowed over to make ready for the solar farms, the field mice and rats have nowhere to go. So, they start eating the solar farm wiring. It take an incredible amount of pest control to get the rodent population under control.
