Everyone can shoot flowers such as roses providing they get along with their local florist. We do and some of my images got used as promotional items for the store.

Might I suggest you "plant" the cut tree in your backyard at this time of the year. It really helps the birds with more protection and for us an opportunity to photograph these beautiful flyers and they add an uplifting song sometimes as well.
In warmer weather we cut it down to sizes that our city recycling can turn into mulch.

In Canada just deduct the GST and take 1/2. This will avoid getting the stink eye. It used to be that a tip was for extraordinary service /goods. Now in most cases it's a subsidy to the owners to top up the mega wages they pay their employees.
In New Zealand to tip is considered an insult. How refreshing.

I jacked my MacBook Pro 2015 with a CD drive to max 16 gig ram. Updated the OS to 10.15.7 Catalina lost PS 6 but otherwise is still doing very well.
My IT guy tells me often many windows left open apps running in the background that are not needed cause the slow down.

Perhaps the wolf is in fact a wolf dog cross. We have a conservation home for these types northwest of Calgary.
Usually come about as some poorly informed individual purposely cross breeds them thinking they would be great protectors. Then usually without a fatality just a good scare thy realize they don't care to be too dog like in relating to humans. Very sad.

Having lived nearby and visited this most beautiful mountain lake on numerous occasions in all 4 seasons I am stunned to see both the OP's image (mostly of the access bridge for the wealthy to access their getaways ) and the number of responses giving it a positive but granted curt review.
I acknowledge your patience in waiting, but in that time I'm wondering if you moved much past the parking lot?
I will dig through my archives and find a few to post later of what splendour this location has to offer from a slightly different perspective and composition.
Surely you brought some appropriate outdoor wear to deal with the precipation and you didn't just sit in a vehicle.

Dare I suggest trying to chit chat with your wife? In my case my wife is not a photographer but gives me great ideas for composition and will review similar shots and tell me why she prefers certain ones.
As said earlier relax and focus ( no pun intended ) on composition to start would be my recommendation.
Whatever we want to improve. Practice will help.

I forget so much about my camera the best I can do to get to recall certain settings is highlite them in the manual. Haha.

I see Dave has no safety gear such as hard hat, there are no restraints on the wall for support so I would quickly hire a safety manger for this work.

Recently watched a YouTube where the theme was to look, think then capture. I can see you have mastered that process in this shot. The depth of this 2 dimension image really helps the viewer create the real 3 dimensions image in their mind.

All the "free"ones have capacity limits and they do it because you sign up in a way that lets them have your ID for Free. We love free don't we?

Have you noticed that "savings time" has been moved so we still have daylight in the evening hours to accommodate Hallowe'en. The next weekend gets the change.

I find it ironic that one of the imported ads running between entries at least on my feed has 5 images of scantily clad women.
The world is always a mystery in so many ways.
It was advertising a product I have never heard of so I think they missed their mark pun intended when it was wasted on my screen.
