This stunner is a 1939 Maybach SW 38 Sports Roadster. This car, according to owners, was said to " ooze class and drip style ". The auto press at the time was a little more reserved. but no less emphatic....simply stating that Maybach built the most luxurious and exciting cars in the world. In fact, several sources reporting on performance reported speeds of a little more than 120 MPH. In total, Maybach built a little over 500 cars, with about 120 still in existence.

Great shots! Two questions, if you will: 1). What do you know about the powertrain. 2). When was Maybach folded in to Daimler-Benz?
