Well, I for one am a Canon guy that just recently is considering a Nikon. I have a Canon 60D that is seriously thinking about the purchase of the Nikon 7100. As I keep reading reviews that in most articles I've read the quality of the photos are better. Just a beginner so any debate as to another camera suggestion will be helpful!
Thanks! I think I'm going to rent one before I purchase.
Love the shot!!! I see that you have a Canon 6D,and I have been toying with purchasing either the 6D or the Nikon 610. What can you tell me about the 6D that you like except the great shot that you just took.
But now that they replaced it, how well do you like the 610? I was thinking about purchasing the Nikon 610.
I ditto that reply. The Tamron 18-270 is a very good lens.
Nice... great shots! I was there in late September and it's a magnificent place.
I still a newbie, but I'd like to know what advantage there is in shooting RAW as oppose to JEPG. RAW is to get better photos with more detail in the photo, as I understand it. Since I do not print large photos at home I send them out to places like Vista Print, Costco and such. But these companies only deal in JEPG's. I'm sure this must have been discussed before and I've must have missed it, but why shoot RAW if not for commercial use?
What am I missing?
I have an Epson Artison 810 and I leave mine on all the time. The printer goes into a sleep mode after about 3 minutes. I've had mine for about three years and has never given me any problems, storms or otherwise.
Nope! Just a long time enthusiast that loves to shoot.
Yeah...and I saw a 18-135 lens on a Canon today that has a lock slide for lens creep.
Oh and by-the-way, the elastic band you see is for the lens cap.
That's a big pet peeve of mine as well. And, manufacturers can easily do this. Check out the photo of the Tamron 18-270 Lens and it's simply way to avoid lens creep.

I agree with GoofyNewfie! What were the step to creating your photo?
Please tell me more about your Sony camera and why you like better than your Canon.
How do you like your 60D. I've been thinking of switching to the Nikon 610. I haven't been to happy with my 60D but than it could be operator error. From another 70 year old.....and Happy Birthday.
