A little bit of advice please....I am a happy snapper who uses an EOS550D with a 85mm f1.8. 28-135mm f3.5 and a cheap Canon75-300mm zoom. I am about to buy the 70-200 f 2.8L is. and have enough to buy a second camera. Should I go for the 700D or the 70D ? I tend to shoot portraits and go to a lot of reenacting events. Thanks for any advice or ideas
Get something with a "D" before the number.
A quick google search reveals that the 70D is to the 700D as the D7100 is to the D5200.
Both will give great results but one is more solid, heavier, more expensive and has a few more bells and whistles.
Check out Sony. My Canons and Nikons sit on the shelf now.

What Sony cameras have replaced what Canons and Nikons and why do you prefer them? I have a Canon 60d. 70d looks like a nice upgrade but over $1000 to upgrade is too much too soon.

Please tell me more about your Sony camera and why you like better than your Canon.
