Well done! I don't know the finer points of this technique but as for color, freeze-motion and sharpness, you've got it covered.

I agree with Bobs comments as to sharpness and colour, however i find the lip of the bowl distracting . May i suggest a larger container for you liquid. I too started with a smaller container and quickly moved to a very large clear cooking dish. It allowed my photos to show the Drops without the Props

Its really fun to work with different colors and combos

I would love to hear read the details on how you did this.
I've never done anything like it myself.
I like it, but do agree with Hankwt about he lip of the bowl.
Not sure what you would do to fix that.

Your water drop looks like it is made of glass. The colors are great. I agree about using a wider, clear bowl to make the bowl disappear. There is some noise evident. I like it a lot though and would love to see more.

I've tried this a few times. You did really well. Since it is an abstract, I would go crazy with the colors and contrast and such. Maintain the sharpness that you have, though, as that is the tough part. Well done.

That not only takes deep technical photographic skill, it also takes patients. Very nice light and color.:)

Outstanding!!! Would love to try this sometime. I think you did a great job with stop action and your choice of color. Also.......you sold the picture with composition, etc.

Lid is distracting but I love the sharpness of the colors. This is not easy to do, nice job. I also found the shadow a little distracting. Thanks for sharing.

I have lots of patients, but still not sure I would have the patience to do this!

Very nice. Historical story: 43 years ago I took a class from the "Father of high-speed photography", Doc Edgerton. At that time he was well into retirement but was so venerated at the school (MIT) that he was designated an "Institute Professor" - they provided his lab and he still taught classes and had grad students working with him. He had developed strobe technology for the Army Air Corps during WWII and had these huge strobes that had been used to take night-time aerial photos over Europe. Some of the students took night photos of Boston across the river with these. In this class we learned the electronics of firing very short flashes with xenon flash tubes, we built strobes, and then we went into a dark room and triggered the strobes by sound while we took photos of bullets splitting playing cards in half, piercing apples, etc. Tons of fun, and "Doc" was a great person who invited us to have dinner with he and his wife. The technology looks better now, but is still basically the same, although I think Doc would really appreciate the high-speed sync capabilities of our newer cameras.

I can only say that it's a great shot, nice colors and I wish I
