Sony is really leading the pack especially with their Super Sharp Zeiss Lenses.
Leica V-Lux 4 or Sony RX10
Sony a7R, is your answer.
Thanks again, for the info.
Thank you all , for the reply. BV
I have both Aperture & Lightroom 5 & Photoshop 5. I use Mac and am a retired Wedding Photographer of 50 years in business.
I do not use any of the above software, since I have sent work needing post corrections to professional labs in the past. I now would like to learn Aperture or Lightroom, as a hobby. Which is the simplest learning curve to go? Your info, would be deeply appreciated. BV
My suggestion: Lumix FZ200 or Leica V-LUX 4. Same camera.
Excellent has 25-600mm Leica Lens w/f2.8 Constant Aperture all the way.
What more do you need. Also has Optical Viewfinder and swing out Rear Screen
One Camera/One Lens. Check it out. You will love it.
Just did. I retired all my SLR Canon & Nikons. Bought a LEICA V-LUX-4. Looks like a small, 18" oz., SLR, which includes a 25-600mm, Constant f2.8 lens. Superb images. Comes with Lightroom 5. You can buy a Panasonic LUMIX
FZ200, same lens but does not come with Lightroom 5, for a few hundred bucks less. I just retired professionally and this is all I need. Look into it.
You will be glad you did. Good Luck.
I own the Giotto VGR 8255 SC, CARBON FIBER, 2.8 LBS, 16" CLOSED LENTGH,
One leg can be used as monopod. Cost about $429. Love it. Nice & light to carry. Includes Ball head w/quick release plate.
Tamron 18-270mm Di II, F/3.5-6.3, Piezo Drive. Great all around lens. They have a promotion on now for about $400. BV
I use the Sony DSC-HX9V, 16mg, has a very sharp lens, from 24-384mm Lens
(35mm equivalent). Have made 12"x16" and no problem. Has lot's of fun stuff, like Pano, HDR, HD Movies in stereo, Scenes, Manual, GPS, etc. Add a Hoodman Loop or other brand and you have a Thru the lens, attached by magnet, take on or off, when need be. They now make the 10V, 20V and 30V models. One of these has Wi-Fi. Fun & Small and inexpensive. Have fun shooting. BV
Nikon does know of this problem and they will fix and also pay shipping. They said not to clean yourself and send only to Nikon Service, not their affiliates for repair.
You can call them at 800-NIKON USA
If you are a Pro, selling images, then go for the expensive glass, if not, stick with Sony and go have fun. You could probably buy two lenses for the price of one.
Question? If you make a duplicate of a Jpeg, not touch the original, do you still loose quality, of the original?
