I recently bought an iMac with Mountain Lion as the OS. My Epson and Canon inkjet printers are not compatible with the Mac and no drivers are available for the printers. I have printers connected to my old PC with Windows7, where they work fine. Any suggestions for good printers compatible with Mac's latest operating system would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

What HP do you have I have a all- in- one older model and my imac picked it right up with the same OS you have

Hi All,
I have a Canon 50D, a Canon 580EX II and an Interfit flash transmitter,
I am trying to do some off camera flash photography, I have set the flash on channel 1, slave, connected the transmitter and tried to take my shot, but i keep getting the message "This menu cannot be displayed. Incompatible fash or flash's power is turned off " i have tried it without the transmitter on the hotshoe as well as i am not entirely sure if my camera has a built in wireless or IR transmitter!
Thanks in advance for your help

Kind Regards

Dano...was wondering what speedlite's you use with this trigger...and do they need a 'receiver' to function.
(can you tell I'm pretty new at this?)
I am looking for a way to use speedlites off camera with my canon t3i...without having to use the camera flash.

Thanx for any help!

Jim

I not Dano but I use a Canon speedlites and they are a transceiver meaning they will transmit as well as receive.

Another thumbs up for the Yongnuo YN-622C. I've been using 4 for over a year without a single misfire. They saved me a lot of money that I was able to put into higher quality glass.

I will give a thumbs up also. For the price these are great, even have the high speed synk with them along with the ttl.

Terrific picture - nice moody light. Ordinarily I would suggest cropping it vertically but the vegetation on the left negates that and really adds something extra to the overall composition. I like the mood of it and I'm sure your son will look back on that picture with fond memories when he's older.

Thank you, just playing with the flash gun trying some different stuff, I still think it is just a tad bit to flashy but I liked it. When it cools off a bit am going to try it with 2 flashes and see what I can come up with.

NIce shot there , I bet that was shot in a Pecan grove of about 80-100 trees and given time I'll get to finish brush hogging it , seems never enuff time and always 1 more thing to do , maybe I'll get to finish it before its time to start cutting the corn fields there .
Ya see someone running round on a ol john deere with a brush hog or running around there on a lil green gator wearing a doorag that will be me , holler at me and say hi .

I looked to see if you were out but didn't see you out working. We left about 4 and sure will stop if I see you out and about

It is an awesome shot. The back ground is just perfect! I would have like to see his feet, but that is just me.:) But a wonderful job with the flash!!
Erv

Thanks his feet where in there but had to crop out because the flash did not spill onto his feet and I only took one flash. This was straight out of camera other than the crop.

Hi all,

This is my son and he does not like to be a model very much and he really hates it when it is 98 degrees outside.

I wanted to do some work with the flash and play with the exposure comp. both in flash and camera and see what I would get.

I got a few good ones but I really liked how this one turned out and would like to see what others thought good or bad.

Thanks in advance

Not to happy

With the new advances in Lightroom & Elements, why do we still need to consider Polarizing Lens and high ISO's due to less than fast lens. The Noise handling and the ability to paint what you want in one's photos makes me question why we continue to purchase expensive filters and exceptionally expensive fast lenses.
All comments encouraged and welcomes.
Thanks,
Dan

get right in camera, less pp = more time behind camera

I am looking for a remote flash/shutter trigger for a Canon 60D that can do ETTL. I know that Pocket Wizard can do it, but I am looking for something less expensive. Thanks

Check out the Yongnuo YN-622c on ebay. I have a set and works great with all my Canons from a 20D to a 5D m3

Hi all UHH folks

I have been working more with my strobes and would like to get your input on my lighting.

I understand the pose is not that great and he is pushing up his glasses with his hand and squishing his face all up. This is my son and he gets a little lazy when I want to play with my strobes.

I would like this to be just about the lighting please.

Uploaded the wrong one look at the bottom one the top one is where I was changing the background Sorry

lighting test=bored son

This is the one Sorry

Also, handy when you need to use Fill Flash for dark foreground shadows.

Will be working in a doorway from inside to outside with many poses, now that I was able to put the AE on hold I will not have to keep resetting up the shot.

From what I understand watching the video: AE Lock as on most Canons is only active as long as you hold the button. AE Lock and Hold on the Mark III is active until you press the button again.

Page 171 of your manual explains the way I do it on my 7D
Page 326 says: "*H: AE lock (hold)
When you press the button assigned to this function, you can lock the exposure (AE lock). The AE lock will be maintained until you press the button again. Convenient when you want to focus the meter at different areas or when you want to take multiple shots at the same exposure setting."
From what I understand watching the video: AE Lock... (show quote)

I watch it again and I was doing it all wrong I did assign it to the DOF button but was pushing AE button first and you don't do that all I had to do was push the DOF button and it worked boy do I feel dumb. Just color my hair blond!!!!
