I am driving from Virginia to Naples, Florida, using I95 and I75. Due to the closing of the National Wildlife Refuges, I am in need of suggestions as to locations for bird and wildlife photos along this route. Any help will be appreciated, especially Georgia and Florida. Thanks.

Have a quick turn-around job that necessitates jpegs for same day printing at Cosco. Having never used jpeg settings on the 5D Mark 2, Should I use standard mode and all other variables (sharpness, contrast, etc.) in the middle settings? And will these settings still allow an unadulterated RAW file?
Thanks for any advice.

My 9 year old iMac has about but bit the dust and I am ready to purchase new. any suggestions on how a Mac Pro benefits over a regular iMac? Feedback greatly appreciated.

The mac pro is more versatile . You can expand memory, drives, graphic cards, and optimize your monitor.
There is a new model in the works so maybe a reduction in price will precede.

I am interested in a recommendation for a small carry around fixed lens camera to be able to have quality at my fingertips at all times. Not essential but desirable features are, viewfinder (can be an accessory), built in pop up flash.

Please advise your suggestions and reasons why.

Happy Shooting ;-)

No pop-up but outstanding resolution

One day next week I will have about 12 hours to photograph either in Arches National Park or Canyonlands National Park.

Any suggestions?

Tough choice. Arches is more 'condensed' with many unique and iconic forms. In Arches the walk to Delicate arch is a must.
Canyonlands is vast with many off-road opportunities and grand vistas. Light pollution is a non existent.
If I had only one day-Arches.

Martin Evening writes excellent books-Focal Press- on PS & LR. Gotten mine at Barnes & Noble.
I think they are more thorough and in-depth then Kelby's.

What are the best weeks in late Sept. or October to see the beauty of fall foliage in this area & the mountains east of Chattanooga in N. Carolina area. thanks Bill

Depends on your elevation, rain fall amounts and hope a voilent storm doesn't defoliate an area in it's prime ( Skyline drive last fall ). North Carolina mts. usually peak around the 3rd week in October.
