Had to reload my system and can't use noise ninja because I lost my code. I bought photo ninja It is a compete RAW editor in addition to having noise ninja as a component. However, it does not allow noise filtering in the Photoshop filters as yet (coming later)

If anyone has used photo ninja I would like to know what you think of it. How does it compare to Adobe RAW editor or any others. How about its noise performance especially as it applies to light and dark parts of an image?

Thanks for info so far. I don't have either D7100 or D800. I am trying to decide which would be the best upgrade path for telephoto work. I presently have a D700 and a D7000.

I have a D7000. I use it with nikon 300mm and sometimes
with tc 1.7.

1. If I use this lens combination on a D800 with the DX crop mode I would get about the same size image in pixels as on my D7000.

2. If I use this lens combination on a D7100 I would get a little more pixels to lay the image on. (24 million rather than 16 million.)

It seems no. 2. would give more flexibility in resizing or cropping.

does anyone have any information on the relative image quality, contrast or sharpness of No 1 or 2? Would there be a noticeable difference using the D800E?

I just received a flyer about their One Day Seminars.

In your opinion are they worth the $99 price.
What skil level would benefit most.

Whatever tripod head you get make sure it is rated to support at least twice the weight of your camera-lens combo.

I am using an epson 1400 printer and get acceptable results on
gloss paper or satin paper. However, I would prefer images on matt paper. I am using soft proofing and CS5. My images on Matt paper are muddy or dull. Some images I have seen on Matt have a "richer" look. FI have used Redriver paper and Epson paper with the suggested profiles but can't get what I want.

Any help appreciated.

These batteries usually last me 5 hours of full use and with the hand grip that has 2 batteries in it I get roughly 10 hours of use (mind you I have all Sony cameras). What I don't like about the batteries (which are true for all these Lithium batteries) is that even when the camera is not in use they lose 2% of their charge per day.

Is this a drain by the camera or battery losing its charge.
In other words does this happen if the battery is not in the camera??
