you cannot see a thing...I drove across and was in a SUV, no scenic sights at all...maybe if you were in a bus , you might be able too...you have to take the skywalk, and walk across, thats the only way...

Hey mike....you are so right..back about that time i took my framily thru there and rode the elevators way down there to the bottom..I remember walking out and looking up..what a sight that was...

not sure where you are traveling from, but the route up thru hywy 395 all the way to either Reno or Lake Tahoe will still take you to San Francisco...But you got all the back country up in the High Serria's..There are hundreds of lakes including Mono Lake, there is Yosimite right at the Mono lake turn off...if you got the time , then this is way to go...

Nice Photo... I am glad you posted this...cause it made me go back in pull up some old pictures of my trip to South Africa.. We visited the Lesede Tribal Cultural Village..which was outside of Cape Town....

believe it or not..there is both here snow in foam... right on the edge of the water is foam, but in some cases there is snow..it was very cold...the paths were covered in snow...

I love your shots... I was there about 4 months ago and it had stormed and dropped a ton of snow in the mountains..it was super cold...I shoot these pictures at ISO 1800 which made the camera adj the shutter to 4000 Sec and I didnt pay attention..I guess I was super cold and my brain froze or something...heck I am from L.A. 15 degree weather is a bit cold for me...its only a 300 mile drive , so i gotta get back up there and do it again..

ty...In these pictures i used a nikon d3000 with a 55-300 lens..set out at the 300mm setting..
