Welcome to Day 164 :) Today we are going to take a look at Texture. Have you ever seen a photograph of a furry little animal or a smooth shiny surface and just want to reach out and touch it? Well that's what texture photography is all about. Sometimes all it takes is a little bit different lighting or a slight shift in camera angle to really add depth to your photos by improving how the textures are rendered.
Here are a few examples to get us started. I look forward to seeing what y'all come up with.

I'm getting the idea now, but then I'm on mysecond cup too
Sometimes you just want to reach out and touch something soft and fluffy, like the fluffy yellow head of this Rosy Maple moth which I found on my doorstep yesterday morning snuggled up against the bannister railing there. Or by looking at something you just know how it would feel, like the rusty and rough texture of these? clamp-like looking things along the railroad tracks or just imagine how this crushed rock would feel under your bare feet! ouch! In the third photo the paint scabbed post on the right suggests to you how it would feel to run your hand down this post. An experience of interrupted scarred roughness would be the tactile experience.
