Welcome to Day 164 :) Today we are going to take a look at Texture. Have you ever seen a photograph of a furry little animal or a smooth shiny surface and just want to reach out and touch it? Well that's what texture photography is all about. Sometimes all it takes is a little bit different lighting or a slight shift in camera angle to really add depth to your photos by improving how the textures are rendered.
Here are a few examples to get us started. I look forward to seeing what y'all come up with.

well...it could be..
I think what the call for is like something that has texture and you want to FEEL it... think woven fabric...or close ups of plant material BARKS....or animal shots where you can see the fur hairs....or cobblestones....or maybe you dont want to feel it...like thorns on a rose...or cacti....
You prob have tons of them just dont know what to call em..

I still have a few minutes and wanted to clean my card so here is what i got of the hooters this am...not great..overcast which gave me no light and a hard to hold still cam but also...which kinda helped since when shooting up i didnt have silhoettes....there were two...but none of those shots came out as evidenced here.

Sherrie, nice examples... Looks like we are going to a deeper place in the photos.. Really brings out detail

Cat girl... Wow, such an early riser today... I love the walls and ceiling of that church

Osuzz, great.... The titles allowed me to really feel your shots..

Bushido, great examples? Love the rippled green.. The two sides of the third one throw me off.... Are the last 2 barrel tops?

Pg 1continued

RR, I like the old style look of the third shot

Judy, nice tree texture.... The babies are growing up... Beautiful mama is keeping them healthy

Fred Ann, that moth is beautiful.. Also like the vibrant color of the rust

RR, there is lots of different texture in this pic.. The roughness of the rock, the coolness of the water, the smoothness of the steel...

very clever adding the texture to the prints... William Mortenson would be proud of you... he is my all time favorite print enhancer.. i have collected everyone of his books and magazine articles.. i'm only short one pamphlet... (but no one cares about that but me.) have a good day drink lots of coffee and get out and shoot a rock or something... LOL
