I've heard the opposite: better to shoot in color so the tonal range can be adjusted by individual color. Here's a tutorial on this process.

This is true..shoot in camera b/w and your lose the ability to adjust the color channels, and converting later in pp is really very little work

A friend of mine once said that all the new(er) cars look like a worn bar of soap. I always thought it was a very appropriate description. Although, when you look at some of the new Cadillac models, I'd have to say that "edginess" is coming back. They may be taking a leadership position as they did in the past..some of you will remember that the "fin" started with the late forties Cadillacs, and soon thereafter, every car had fins until "ultimate fin" was finally reached with the '59 Cadillac. I consider myself to be a "generalist" photographer, however, photographing the more work of art/artistic older car is one of my passions

Well, if you take that onion off the burger, peel it back, understand that all the confusion and chaos is intentional, you will then see that "Mickey D" goes away, and now Uncle Sam becomes the new Ronald McDonalds, the mega burger flipper for all...would you like carbon tax with your burger sir?

I own a Tokina 11-16mm, great lens, and fast at a constant f/2.8. Built like a tank too, very very happy with it!

Nicely stated!  And welcome to UHH!

Thank you Penny. I suppose kind of an unusual way to introduce myself on a first post, but like so many others I am concerned with the state of affairs in Washington. Obviously, I'm here because I am a photographer, and have been for many years. I'm looking forward to an enjoyable stay here at UHH!

Well, I'm brand new here, so I may as well jump in with both feet. I always find it interesting when people who support God, country, the military, the flag, the Constitution, and the freedoms given to, and passed on to us by our founding fathers, (basically all those that I consider patriots,) but are viewed as radical nut cases by those on the left! And it seems so easy for the left to conveniently play the race card whenever needed to turn a logical discussion into a no-win emotional discussion...a standard tactic of the left straight out of Alinsky's Rules For Radicals. Our displeasure with the current state of affairs has nothing to do with race, but all about ideology. If it truly was race, why then could so many of us get behind and support a leader like Dr. Ben Carson, or David Webb?
