I debated the d5100 vs the D7000...thinking the weight of the d7000 would be an issue...it's not. The slight difference in weight is worth a few arm curles to manage.

glad you two aren't neighbors. thanks for all the info....I purchased the d7000 today. oooooooh so many buttons. when I get a few decent px in manual I"ll think about a macro lens. Right not my wide and 18-105 will do.
