I thought I saw on an upgrade recently (for cc on Mac) that there was something about 'resolves issue where image may not didplay'.

I haven't had any problems but it does appear that issues for CC and Mac get resolved pretty fast.

Have you installed all the recent updates?

I thought I had but not- installing now. Maybe that will be the fix. Thanks.

You didn't say Mac or PC. I do use Lr or a PC once in a while, but that is Lr6 and not CC. What I described was on a Mac and was in Lr, NOT Ps. My first suggestion would be to make sure you have the latest version of everything, including drivers for things like monitors and video cards. One thing I really appreciate on the Mac side is that they take care of their own hardware with their software updates. Many less headaches! Again, best of luck. This too will pass!

I have Mac. And I am currently updating the newest updates. With each update I have hoped it will resolve. Maybe this will be the one!

It hasn't been resolved for my computer. Is there something on my end that needs to happen? I'm not all tweaked out about it but it is annoying.

If you are talking about opening many images at the same time, I have no idea. If you are on a Mac, and the software (in Lr for me) tabs on all sides disappear, that was/is and issue which has been/is being worked on. I have the absolute latest versions of both, and have not had issues in quite some time. As much as I love my Macs, I don't feel they do quite as good a job vetting software releases as they did under Steve Jobs, but all things march on. Hope this was helpful.

Only opening one image at a time. And I'm not sure if the tabs disappear (or some of them) but probably not because I can edit the image but can't see the image- go figure. I just did the "correction" so it will be awhile before it happens again and then I will look closely at what remains of the window. Thanks.

I have PS CC. And sometime over the past several upgrades I have noticed there seems to be a (undetermined) finite number of images that can be opened before PS CC blacks out the image. By that I mean the PS window comes up but no image. And yet if I close the window, PS asks if I want to save the image (something must be working in the background). My work around has been to quit PS or even restart the computer and then all is as should be for another finite number. Bridge and Camera Raw are not affected. And I do not use LR. I have a fairly new 13 " Apple laptop. Before I go to tech support I wondered if anyone else has experienced this.

I too recently purchased a used Fuji 18 mm lens from KEH. Looks like new, works as it should. And quite a significant savings from buying new.

Fred, read over the 2 sentences above from your OP. Seems to me you have already answered your own question. It seems to me that it is time for you to move on from your D7100. Not only are you not using your D7100, but you will also not get any enjoyment out of it if you should use it again.

My suggestion would be to put it up for sale on eBay, being careful to note that the sale is "as is". Be honest about its history. The camera is of no use to you under the circumstances you indicated.

A possible replacement is the D7200. There are some very good deals on it right now. You could even purchase a refurbished one from Nikon or from one of the A, B, C's. In the interests of full disclosure - I own and enjoy a D7200 (traded up from a D5200 which I still use on a regular basis). The only problems I have had with ANY of my digital cameras has been OE (operator error). It was always caused by some silly thing I did to inadvertently change a setting.

Good luck with whatever you decide, but thems my 2 cents1
Fred, read over the 2 sentences above from your OP... (show quote)

Very sound advice. I was glad you added to sell the camera "as is" on Ebay while being honest about its history. Not everyone does that. I would agree that there isn't any sense in hanging onto a camera that you are afraid to use. That being the case move on- no third chance.

I especially liked the first image but I think it could benefit from straightening (not that you asked) unless you intended it to be just that way. The horror stories told about incarceration in a mental facility mid century are scary. Apparently a husband could commit his wife under most any pretext including insubordination. Yikes!

If you are going into Page (Antelope Valley) then do a quick stop at Horseshoe Bend. A jaw dropping 1000 ft down view of the Colorado River as it goes around the bend. A 30 minute hike- no fees, no guard rails at the viewpoint. If you are fearless you can dangle your feet over the edge- requires ultra wide angle or pano mode. Quite breathtaking.

I can't image using an old version of PS, that is not or will not be supported very productive. What about PS Elements? It has enough power for most of us and you can buy it outright. On One has a Raw processor and lots of capability. Many more choices than before. I am actually surprised that Adobe hasn't raised subscription prices before now. Nothing stays the same.
