This would be funnier if it wasn't probably true.

The f1.8 will help a lot. You may be able to stitch shots together if you are careful, to get wide angle views. The cathedral in Passau is pretty bright, so your wide angle will be just fine.

took this wonderful trip a couple of years ago. The 24-105 was great. A long lens is needed for the castles along the rivers, your SX should handle these requirements. I used a 70-200mm with the 1.4X extender for this purpose.
In Budapest, the Cathedral has very low light. I would suggest taking a fast wide angle lens for this and other low light locations....borrow or rent if you must. The 24-105 worked just fine for the abbey at Melk, and a CP filter would be very useful for photographing wonderful objects in glass cases at this location . Flash is not an option in most of these historic interiors. I must say, my 24-105 is overall my go-to lens. It is surprising the number of these I see at very low prices for used. A monopod is a great tool to have on this trip.

Sam had a tough day, had turned in early and was in that wonderful state of nearly being fast asleep. His wife, Sandi, however was still thinking a mile a minute. Suddenly Sandi says "honey, if I died, would you get married again?" Sam says, honey that isn't going to happen, and no I wouldn't remarry." Sandi says, well you are a young man, and I think you should." Sam says, "well it isn't going to happen, but whatever. Now please let me go to sleep."

A couple minutes later, Sandi says "well if I died and you remarried, would you keep living in our house?" Sam says, "honey you aren't going to die, but if you did I suppose if she wanted to keep our house I guess we would."

A few more minutes pass, and Sandi says " if you remarried, would you still be sleeping in our bed?" Sam says, if I were to remarry and she wanted to keep this bed I suppose we would. But that isn't happening so let's just go to sleep."

More minutes tick by and Sandi says, " Well if I died and you remarried would you let her wear my clothes?" Sam says, " I guess if she wanted to, but that isn't going to happen. Just go to sleep."

Finally, Sandi says, " well, would you let her use my golf clubs?" Sam replies, "no, absolutely not." Sandi says ,"how can you be so sure? ". Sam replies, "because she's left handed."

I have a personal property policy from State Farm covering my equipment that covers lost/stolen, dropped etc. with replacement cost in full. The thing to remember is that if the replacement is no longer being manufactured, you need to place a value on the current models ((like a 7d should be covered for the price of a 7d mk ii). The items are covered where ever you are. This is a separate policy from a homeowners policy.

Please don't place your go pros in checked baggage. Carry-on is fine. You would be taking a very big chance with them in checked baggage.

Actually we did enjoy the special effects. The "music" is always a display of unintelligible words and screaming for the most part. The part that makes m grit my teeth most at these games is when a "singer" is introduced to sing the national anthem to "honor America", when they are actually honoring themselves with their vocal antics. I think it's interesting that at sporting events when the Canadian nation anthem is sung it is almost always done in a much more respectful manner. Please don't mess with America's national anthem. Sing it like it's written.

I use Carbonite, and have just finished a download. Yes, it took a long time to do this restore as I had tons of pics. Part of this was my fault for not culling my stuff, and I had a number of duplicates. I learned that the download had a great deal to do with the speeds I was getting from my ISP. I upgraded, and that was some help. The techs at Carbonite were always very helpful and polite, in spite of the numerous calls I made to them.

I am considering the purchase of a Wacom tablet for editing photos. What are your thoughts? I don't understand the different features of their Bamboo and Intous lines. Which would be best?

I want to shoot a young woman who suffers from eczema. Her skin often is almost magenta. She likes B&W, I think because it hides her condition. When I shoot her with her family it poses a problem. I have PSE, lightroom, Efects 8.5, and portrait pro. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thank you.

This is a term I see all the time. But what constitutes fine art photography? Is it an image printed on "fine art paper", an attribution by the photographer themselves ( photos for sale), or the opinion of a viewer? What say you?

I will be in this area in early October. I have seen some nice shots at Convict Lake, and would like to make some myself. Does anyone have some advice about this location, or other lakes in the area? Also, since I am somewhat mobility challenged, does the terrain allow access with minimal walking? Thank you for whatever input you might offer.
