You know, what I don't get is how good these things look in these pics and then when you go get 'em they look like someone has been sitting on them for an hour or so and they look nothing like these. What's up with that?
you are too funny
I think the thing you ought to concern yourself most with is that you get it. Most of my attempts at humor only seem to aggravate people, which, of course, only encourages me. :)
Well, I'm the happy recipient of their encouragement!
Hey bf. Have you joined the Indian River Photo Club yet? They meet every 4th thursday of the month in the community center right next to pochantis park in vero. awesome photographers there,
it there a website that lists photo clubs? I've been trying to find one here in NY/Conn.

dave..what camera did you use? Beautiful! This whole topic is churning up my stomach...I just bought the Nikon D7000. I'm sure it wasn't a mistake...but I would have liked to evaluate the new over the DSLR
I'm continually amazed by the spiritual experience every time I wander thru the woods with the camera in tow. This hobby has softened the edges of life. I too want this to go on for a long long time.
well, I'm sorry about the wrists...judging from the sunrise photo in Maine....you're doing just fine with the lighter load.
And if I'm smart, I won't push it and then I won't need surgery. I had to give up playing the piano because the pain was really bad. I do miss it very much. Some of my really old friends still think of me as a musician because when they knew me, I was, or could have been (maybe, but I don't think I was quite good enough). It's hard for me to even think of myself in that context now that I really can't play at all. I am truly amazed by the spiritual gains I've found thru the lens. I hope, as you expressed to continue this for a long time. So I'm being sensible about the cameras and keeping it LIGHT. That way, maybe I get to keep doing it and that matters a lot to me.

i just took a quick visit to your website....really wonderful. I'm inspired to hit a National park this autum....your waterfalls make me long for the woods....
I love the moment you captured....I just wish you were a little lower to the ground when you hit the exposure. I couldn't resist...I decreased the exposure slightly, increased the blacks, decreased the lights, added a littly clarity. Wow...what an adorable grandchild!
