hi straight shooter. thx for the ideas. also had idea from a youtube video to shoot fats shutter as you suggest and a high iso of 800-1000. they discounted the "noise"of a high iso saying that newer cameras can compensate for the noise..thx for the comment,jim

thx Paul..will take a look at my manual as well.unfortunately moving back to Indiana end of January.i know no-one moves to Indiana in the winter. so my birding will be decreased a bit till spring..the birds at my feeders are all too fast so il have to up my game..jim

Paul,really outstanding photos..the second one has the deer in the headlight look lol..I was using single focus when trying to capture bif with nikon 7200 as was suggested to me .perhaps will try a different focus technique...thx again for the pics,jim
