Hi - I'm Kat. I'm new to photography but have taken some lessons over the past few months. I'm posting this pic because I took it from inside - through the window because it was too cold to go outside (I live in Atlanta and it was below 30 degrees). I'm surprised at the amount of detail that came through my not too clean window!

Kat, Welcome to UHH. The lessons you took taught you very well. The image you captured has detail, sharp and great color. If it makes you any happier, Florida was 26 degrees yesterday.
Look forward to seeing more of your work

Nice shot Kat. It gets pretty cold here (we had about a two week stretch where the temperature never got above single digits). I did not put a bird feeder up this year, but I have gotten some good shots through the window. Shot a pair of cardinals in my hawthorn tree through my front window, and sold an 8X10 ln an 11X14 frame last November.
Welcome to the forum and looking forward to stein more of your pictures.

Not a bad shot through a window.
Enjoy the forum.

Your windows must be cleaner than mine! lol. Welcome to UHH...it's a great place to be! Lots of great advice from a lot of knowledgable, fun people. Enjoy!
Welcome Kat. Nice picture you posted. Enjoy the forum.
Welcome. 30 is nice shooting temp. I was out last Saturday and the air temp was -10. Guess it is just what one is used to. And how sick one has become to taking photos. ☺ like the Cardinal. So many go for the males but the females have their own beauty too.
Welcome to the UHH Kat, enjoy.
