Cool! What special effects did you apply? That's more than just a desaturate. What software in computer or was it in your camera? I know, had to be in your mind's eye first.

I only have GIMP and HP Image zone software. I used the HP software edit > advanced tab

It is free software that came with a printer, you could probaly down load it from the HP site.

All three are great but the frog and his reflection is outstanding.

Number 3 is the best. Perfect reflection. This photo would work upside down to.

That is a great photo brings back memories of snow and more snow. I will gladly send you all the St. Louis snow. I lived in a place for 3 years that averaged 300 inches of snow a year. Thats over 900 inches of snow, a life time worth.

Some times a photo just isn't that great as exposed but special effects can bring it to life. This is a B1 - B at Hill AFB Museum, Utah.

Great shot, good idea changing the light source temperature.

I like #2 the best. The background gives the shot depth.

Since it is Halloween I thought I would post this picture taken at the Daniel Boone Home in St. Charles County Missouri. I didn't notice the face until I developed and printed this on B/W film. Any one else have any ghostly photos?

I tried this using a driftwood sailboat we found along Lake Superior and even staged the California Raisins in the photo. Both images have lots of room for improvement.

I bought a plusteck Optifilm 7500 with software for around $300 so I could scan a mountain of 35mm slides and negatives. It isn't the fastest but works very well. I figure when I am done I could sell it and recoup a good share of the cost. If you google this you will see it gets good reviews.

I gave up on printing at home due to printer problems and the price of ink cartridges. I have had Cannon , HP and Epson Printers so it isn't just one brand. In the long run it is cheaper for us to have them printed. I have been pleasantly surprised by the quality of prints from Walgreens and Walmart and some of the online printers. We bought a black Laser printer for documents and non photographic needs.

It could be part of our problems was we didn't print enough color photos and the ink dried up.
