I'll believe you when you agree that if this doesn't happen as you say, you'll cover all of my personal costs that I am willing to spend to provide quality of life for my loved ones. If you can make this personal pledge to me, I'll buy in to your argument.

I've read and heard much on this subject and frankly I don't know who or what is to blame. But I do know that in times like this in any organization the senior leader is the one that sets the tone and directs and guides their lieutenants by direction, attitude, and policy. So in this case the president cannot escape his culpability in this specific matter. Regardless of your personal affection for the current POTUS in an objective analysis rational people will agree with this observation.

President Obama lacks the empathy for military members and their families, especially for the KIAs. As such he cannot garner any level of respect as a leader nor can he understand the individual rankor the military has for him. When the president can waive the law and issue executive orders and play games with political appointments it is clear that he does have the balls to take action regardless of law or other precident. The point is he personally dispises the military and disrespscts the honor of those who serve. In my book that pretty much qualifies as an asshole.

Who said the following?

“Under The Circumstances, Any Credible Economist Would Tell You We Should Be Reducing Debt, Not Increasing It.”

The quote is from Senator Obama when he was a senator in 2006. Here's the full citation:

“Mr. President, I rise today to talk about America’s debt problem. The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. Over the past 5 years, our federal debt has increased by $3.5 trillion to $8.6 trillion. That is ‘trillion’ with a ‘T.’ That is money that we have borrowed from the Social Security trust fund, borrowed from China and Japan, borrowed from American taxpayers. And over the next 5 years, between now and 2011, the President’s budget will increase the debt by almost another $3.5 trillion.” (Sen. Barack Obama, Congressional Record, 3/16/06, p. S2237)

I personally know quite a few people including two family members who were unable to get insurance due to pre existing conditions.

Good point and these might possibly be those folks that need some assistance. So what state do these folks reside in? What alternative choices have been explored? Details count before a final opinion can be made.

Failure to increase the debt ceiling does not mean we don't pay on the debt. The government will have to figure how to make ends meet...just like you and me! If they decide to pass up a payment on the debt so be it. If they cut back on other programs they can make the debt payments. I know this is simplistic reasoning but don't you think it's time face the music?

I suggest each of us go to the exchanges and dtermine just what ths ACA coverages include and the costs. In my life I have never been without health care coverage even during times of unemployment or when my employer did not provide it. I just don't buy the argument health care insurance has not been available to all prior to the ACA. What I believe is there are a significant number of people who have low levels of individual responsibility if any at all. Frankly I'm not willing to help those who are unwilling to help themselves. Please don't misconstrue this to believe I am not willing to assist those that justifably need assistance.

Some guy called I'd never met called it a Cess Pool.
So I explained that's why I'd never met him before I guess.
This Quiz Question topic title sucks ass. It did not hint that it was political.
I don't know anything about that but I think the Clinton's are going to take over again soon.
They have a way of fixing that stuff that is unmatched in the history of the US. so .. just sit tight

You have to admit it's entertaining! Plus it really gives a great perspective, and best of all it's provocative (not in a sexy way....well maybe for a few that seem to really get excited!)...beats mowing the lawn any day!
