The Kodak EasyShare M1093 IS was my second camera after dropping the Nikon D50 a few times. Even after dropping the Kodak easyshare more than 50 times, it still took great pictures.

As for the Kiddy "practice" camera comment, one would be surprised at how well these cameras take pictures. I was very tempted to go that route before buying the Canon M6 simply because i'm constantly dropping stuff. So it has nothing to do with being a kid proof camera even adults can use them and still get great quality images.

"Chopsticks Optional"

Performed another test while using the newly created "yellow" space age material as a 85mm filter in a Cokin "P" adapter.

In a few months I'll be giving away a hand full of these yellow filters to black & white photographers for testing purposes. I need photographers willing to test this yellow filter in a variety of light sources and write up a review of the filter based on your testing/experiments. The yellow filter has some sharp edges and I'm working on correcting this.

I'm not able to compensate those testing with the filter for me, other than offering the filter in exchange for the test and review of the product. The main requirement is that one must live in USA as I'm not willing to ship over seas at this time. The testing photographer/s must have an 85mm Cokin "P" drop in filter adapter or alternative 85mm adapter. as holding the filter in front of the lens will create some distortion.

If you're interested in being a product tester, please verify within this thread that you're interested. There will be a limited first run of filters and they will be randomly sent to subscribers who forward their mailing address. However, because of the limited run, there is one way we can get others involved in this. We could allot a week or two of testing by one photographer/s, then that photographer/s wrap up the filter and send it to another photographer for testing.

Again this is a limited first run, and there could be deformities, sharp edges and a limited supply. To those interested and receive the filter, please post your review comments in this same thread afterward. Add as much detail to your review, likes and dislikes etc Please include your images within your review. Also, testers must be established forum members with experience in black & white photography.

SuperflyTNT true, but the objective (my objective in this case) is to inform others that might want to get out and make preparations to take image of the harvest moon. Last year I missed the harvest moon because I was not prepared. This year weather permitting, I should have ample time to set up for a shot in an ideal location.

Each consecutive year we did a little more and went a little farther. However there was a break between years and some travels never worked out.

One of the best trips we ever took was from MD to CO lasting 10 days and things was a bit rushed. This time around the trip was entitled "Sanctuary or Bust" Drive to CO just to see the John Denver Sanctuary.

What made this trip unique is that we drove a jeep wrangler thousands of miles without doors and with out heat or AC. Braving temps in the 40's atop the Rockies one min and 100's the next through New Mexico and Texas.

because of how we drive, we typically avoid major routes and end up on empty roads in the middle of nowhere. Heartbeat Highway (image below) was one of these roads. Standing in the middle of the road without any traffic, one could hear their heart beat. Watching dust devils off in the distance.

This time around and because i got rid of my Nikon D50, I was using something lighter and shock proof just in case it was dropped. The Fujifilm XP60 was an "OK" camera, but not very desirable.

Here's a clue as to what happens on our travels and how this all started.

Back in 1994 I met my wife through a newspaper ad. Our first date last 5 days. We drove to the Mountains then to the beach and we've been doing this on each anniversary. The beginning years I was using 35mm film equipment, so I don't have any images to post.

Later years and with the introduction of the digital camera, my first dig was the Nikon D50. The trip that year was titled "The Day We Touched the Clouds" We drove the entire length of the Blue Right parkway, camping at Peaks of otter.

With heavy rains the night before, we packed up the camping gear and continued driving the parkway. Our next morning stop was to be Mount Mitchell, but we arrived too soon. About ready to turn around, The park ranger pulled up and allowed us in earlier than normal. We drove to the wide open parking lot, exited the jeep and seen this. The first image with in this set. The clouds were right on top of us as if we could touch them.

Sadly, this would be the last time I would be able to use/carry the brand new Nikon D50.. As I was more prone to dropping things due to nerve related issues.

Update:

Just got an email from our company approving out new trip route. However this approval can change at any time based on the influence of the pandemic. We're going to have to do some leapfrogging in and around a few states, But when it's all said and done, and I'm home with some image, I believe you're going to like the route we selected. hell who knows might even login while on the road and share a live image from the route..

Later, I'll post the route for others if anyone wants to experience the same things we did.

This is something I've been obsessed with but nothing I try has been working. Main reason is that there's isn't an app that allows me to tether a live view from the camera to the tablet. I've even contacted several app developing companies to get them to create the app I need to do this. However, Canon says their current app does this but only works on Apple/iMac products. So if you find something let me know.
