Greetings, I own a D5300 and was wondering what my next camera should be. It will probably be my last. I also own a ton of DX glass that works on my D5300. Am I totally competent with the D5300, NO. I guess it's gas. I'm eyeballing a D500 but not sure if it's overkill.
Respectfully,
iCE~

Staying with Nikon crop. D500 all day everyday.

And now let me ask you, Who is burning down the Christian Arab churches? Correct me if I am wrong but it must be the Jews Yeah rite.. I used to have long conversations with a Lebanese Christian who would tell me the horrors that he himself had experienced at the hands of the Muslims. The beatings and murder of his family members. The beatings he had taken at the hands of the Muslims. Now call me the r****t you anti Semitic bastards and put the lid on your phony moral outrage.

The following is a copy of an article written by Spanish writer Sebastian Vilar Rodriguez and published in a Spanish newspaper.

It doesn't take much imagination to extrapolate the message to the rest of Europe - and possibly to the rest of the world.

I walked down the streets in Barcelona and suddenly discovered a terrible t***h - Europe died in Auschwitz.

We k**led six million Jews and replaced them with 20 million Muslims.

In Auschwitz we burned a group of people who represented culture, thought, creativity, talent.

We destroyed the chosen people, truly chosen, because they produced great and wonderful people who made great contributions to the world, and thus changed the world.

The contribution of today's Jewish people is felt in all areas of life: science, art, international trade, and above all, as the conscience of the world.

Look at any donors' board at any symphony, art museum, theater, art gallery, science center, etc.

You will see many many Jewish surnames.

These are the people who were burned.

Of the 6,000,000 who died, how many would have grown up to be gifted musicians, doctors, artists, philanthropists?

And under the pretense of tolerance, and because we wanted to prove to ourselves that we were cured of the diseases of r****m and bigotry, Europe opened our gates to 20 million Muslims, who brought us stupidity and ignorance, religious extremism and lack of tolerance, crime and poverty, due to an unwillingness to work and support their families with p***e.

They have blown up our trains and turned our beautiful Spanish cities into the third world, drowning in filth and crime.

Shut up in the apartments they receive free from the government, they plan the murder and destruction of their naive hosts.

And thus, in our misery, we have exchanged culture for fanatical hatred, creative sk**l for destructive sk**l,intelligence for backwardness and superstition.

We have exchanged the pursuit of peace of the Jews of Europe and their talent for a better future for their children, their determined clinging to life because life is holy, for those who pursue death, for people consumed by the desire for death for themselves and others, for our children and theirs.

What a terrible mistake was made by miserable Europe.

Recently, the UK debated whether to remove The Holocaust from its school curriculum because it 'offends' the Muslim population which claims it never occurred. It is not removed as yet.

However, this is a frightening portent of the fear that is gripping the world and how easily each country is giving in to it.

It is now approximately seventy years after the Second World War in Europe ended.

Something to think about. Thank you.

Best place for this though is in the off topic section.

I am planning on a safari next year. I have a really nice set of lenses, but the longest is a 55-200 mm Nikon DX 55-200. I don't want to have to change lenses at the last moment to switch from a close encounter to a one which may even require more than 200mm. Should I pick up a newer version of my current camera and rent a longer telephoto and then carry 2 cameras? Anyone been on such a safari and encountered the need to change lenses so quickly you missed something?

My current camera Nikon D3400 (I bought it partially in preference to other higher end because I liked its weight and feel in my hand)
My prime lenses: Yongnuo35 mm 1:2 , Nikon AF-S 50 mm 1.8G, Rokinon 8 mm 1:3.5 Fish-Eye CS

My Zooms: Nikon DX 18-55 mm 1:3.5-5.6 G (kit), Nikon DX VR AF-S 55-200 mm 1:4-5.6 GII ED, Nikon DX AF-P Nikkor 70-300 mm 1:4.5-6.3 G (kit)

But the Nikon 200-500 Lens. Here is a shot using that lens.

Good afternoon, I'm new to this forum. I shoot Nikon. I've been into photography the since Vietnam war. Had my own photography studio in the 80's while working a full time job in another field (unrelated to photography). Now retired and taking it easy. Hope to get to know more photographers in my area. Wish you all the best.

Welcome from Orlando. What Nikon do you use? Thank you for your service.

I was reading the topic "When You Pass someone on the road" posted by Tim S.

The Left Hand Drive Versus Right Hand Drive issue soon arose.
Those who drive on the left supported their native situation
and those who drive on the right supported that.

And the reasoning did not go beyond, we drive on this side of the road, so it must be the best
way to do it.

Which contains no logic or reason really. Saying, "I do it this way, makes this way right",
fails as soon as it is countered with, "I do it the other way, makes the other way right".

1+minus1=0

I drive on the left side of the road in a RHD vehicle. I believe it's the better way, not just
because that's the way it is down here, but because of a darn good reason.

And that is; most people are right handed which means when we let go of the steering
to change gears our dominant right hand remains on the steering wheel to steer the car.

If you think that is insignificant try writing with your left hand or using a hammer in your
left hand.

And all you lefties out there, pipe down. You think it would be better for most people
to have less control over their cars than the least amount of people to have less control over their car?

Sorry USA/Continental Europe, but you got it wrong.

I always thought it went back to horse days. Most riders were right handed and used their sward in their right hand.

A few months back some one posted a composition of Gene and Benny playing Sing Sing Sing. It was about 4 or 5 months ago. It was the best I've ever heard. Was wondering if he could email me a copy or re-post it.
I believe it was clips synced together to form the entire song.

Thank you
John

A Once in lifetime Experience Priceless? Yes/ no

Depends. I skipped the helicopter ride in Hawaii do to price. Sometimes I regret it.

Our tour of the Vatican was very good. We had a great guide. Seemed like we had lots of time and got questions answered. I snuck a picture of the Chapel with my iPhone. The room was jammed and a lot smaller then I expected.

The Enginer (EE), tuat works with us has some fancy lenses for his iPhone 8. Amazing what images he captures.

But, he is saving to purchase a Sony a7RM3.

I work alone in a place late at night for my “day” job. The other night I was looking for something and came across a bunch of rolling cases. In one, nicely tucked away in their little cubby hole in the case was two Canon 5D Mark IIIs with big long zoom lenses. There is no security and no cameras in the building. And yes I was tempted, dammit. I’m sorry. I’m human. LOL But I didn’t take them ok. I also walked by three professional Sony video cameras on sturdy rolling tripods. I was salivating so bad. All I have is a Canon 5D Mark II. Don’t judge me!!
