I had problems installing Raya Pro to Photoshop cc2015. Thank you everyone for your input and help. I had to install it to version cc2014. cc2015 couldn't open the jsx files.

Thanks for your link yesterday.

If I had not read your post, I would have tried to install it in cc2015 and had the same bother that you had.

After reading the replies, I installed it directly to cc2014 and had no problem.

Thanks again for saving me from a headache

Not so much with changing this one photo background, rather point me in the right direction on "how to do it" via, YouTube, etc. Something video.
I have many photos I need to switch out the background!

What I want to do is remove the curtain and replace with same color (approx) and smooth.

The photo that is attached is converted from NEF to JPG and labeled as RAW. There has been no other processing, e.g. removing the seam to the top of his head, etc.

Thanks! Any pointing is appreciated.

Hi Dave.

My prefered method is the quick selection tool along with refind edge.

Here are 2 tutorials using different methods.

This is good when you have a plain background.

Use this for a more complicated background.

Thanks for the exercise.
Here's my attempt.
Straightened and adjusted w/b & saturation in sky & water with the gradient filter in ACR.
Bit dodge & burn in photoshop.

When I was younger, I was an amateur boxer and my workmate played ice hockey for the Whitley Warriors (local team).
Often on a Monday morning, he turned up for work in a worse state than I was in!

Nice job AlMac

Thanks SoftLights. The moon was so dim during the eclipse so I had to use a longer shutter speed than I would have liked, hence the moon is not as sharp.

Sure hope ya'll got some great shots tonight of the Super Duper Full Blood Moon shots of the Eclipse. Every event this year as far as stars and the moon go, it has been nothing but cloudy and/or rainy here. Nothing. Nada. Zero.
The only hope left now is that the clouds might clear a bit to catch something of the eclipse later on, but dang. I'm a tad ticked. Had a view picked out overlooking a lake.

OK. Whining stopped now. Thanks for listening.

A couple had two little boys aged 8 and 10 who were extremely mischievous.
They were always getting into trouble and their parents knew that if any mischief occurred in their town, their sons would get the blame.

The boys' mother heard that a clergyman in town had been successful in disciplining children, so she asked him if he would speak with her boys.
The clergyman agreed, and asked to see them individually.

So, the mother sent her 8-year-old first, in the morning,
with the older boy to see the clergyman in the afternoon.

The clergyman, a huge man with a booming voice, sat the younger boy down and asked him sternly, "Where is God?"
The boy's mouth dropped, but he made no response, sitting there with his mouth hanging open.
The clergyman repeated the question. "Where is God?" Again, the boy made no attempt to answer.
So the clergyman raised his voice some more and shook his finger in the boy's face and bellowed. "Where is God!?"

The boy screamed and bolted from the room. He ran directly home and dove into his closet, slamming the door behind him.
When his older brother found him in the closet, he asked, "What happened?"

The younger brother, gasping for breath, replied,
"We are in big trouble this time! God is missing and they think we did it!".

Try turning off gpu. Open LR. Library, edit, preferences, performance.

Maybe stop using Windows 10 and retry using when next version comes out. 10.01

Good luck

TH, you are my hero.

Turned off gpu like you instructed and Lightroom is now running like a dream. Still with Windows 10 and no problems. Thank you so much.

One very happy Adobe subscriber :D :D

When I change from library to develop or from develop to library sometimes (too often) I get a message that the program is not responding. The screen turns milky and shows the little spinning circle. I have to close the program and restart. When this happens a file is added beside the LR catalog: Lightroom 6 catalog.lrcat.lock 1KB size.

Anybody have this problem? Anybody got a cure?

Thanks for any help.

I've had this problem since updating to Windows 10.

When I restart Lightroom, it opens where I previously opened it and not where I left off. Very frustrating and time taking. If I have a lot of work to do, I now tend to use Bridge and Photoshop ACR.

No cure found yet and one very unhappy subscriber :(
