Our American friends will never understand a Pantomime. Why should they when some men men are dressed as women and some women as men? When some of the characters address the audience and ask them to his and boo When sweets are thrown from the stage to the audience and some characters argue with the audience.
One thing is for sure. there is very little that gives children quite as much pleasure and some grown ups, for that matter,and gives elderly actors the chance to perform for a few weeks.
Friends, if by chance you are in the UK over the festive season pop in and see one they are all over the country.
