Snipped images from the cameramemoryspeed website. The camera body does become the bottle neck with faster cards. But, when uploading to your computer, the faster cards earn their keep.

I use the Sandisk card mentioned here with my d7200 and it works well.

If you are considering the purchase of a new camera, and are considering the Canon 7D MK II, I would very strongly, advise you,
to seriously, look into the Nikon D7200.

They are two parallel cameras, and the Nikon camera. has a very far superior. Image Sensor. to the Canon camera. which is very important!

You can see these camera's rated, at the scientific Camera Testing Website: https:/www.dxomark.com, just select "Camera" and then both Nikon and Canon, and you can see the ratings of both of these cameras.

The D7200 is rated at 87, while the 7D MKII is rated at 70 !!!

The only thing, that the 7D MKII is best for is for photographing Birds In Flight, due to it's type of focusing system, that it uses.

For all, other use, the Nikon D7200, is the better camera.

This is my opinion, based upon my own knowledge, of all of the available facts, and information, regarding these two cameras.

I've spent 50 hours or more studying these DSLR camera's extremely carefully and all of the other available camera's on the market. I know just what I'm talking about.

I was shopping for one of these two camera's, myself, and I selected, and finally did purchase, the Nikon D7200 camera, as I clearly understood it, to be the better camera, for all kinds of general use.

It is, the ultimate, crop sensor, DSLR, on the market, today! (I am not considering the Nikon D-500 at $2,000.00)

It is perfect in EVERY way!!!

You are guaranteed, to love, this camera, in every way!!!

FURTHER, BE ADVISED, THAT THIS $1,100.00 BODY, IS TODAY....

BEING SOLD ---SPECIAL--BY WWW.ADORAMA.COM

FOR ONLY $779.00 !!! REFURBISHED !!!

THIS IS THE DEAL OF A LIFETIME !!!

I WOULD INSTANTLY, JUMP ON IT, TODAY, IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING, ONE OF THESE, VERY FINE CAMERA'S!!!

*****You will never again, touch this, very great, Price, anywhere, and the Nikon Factory Refurbished Camera's, are just as good,
as Brand New ***Many Believe they are Better, Than Brand New
Stock To Buy !!!

Allen...

If you are considering the purchase of a new camer... (show quote)

I jumped on that Adorama deal as soon as it happened. Got a notification about it in my twitter feed. It is an absolute steal!!!

Is the D7200 worth the extra money for the casual photographer?
Thanks.

I see this being a very subjective type of question. It's not a straight "features and functions" type of thing and thus one is better than the other. It's whether or not those differences are meaningful enough to you to pay more. Both cameras are excellent choices and you can't go wrong with either one. I suggest you do three things; (1) read the comparisons and understand the differences; (2) think about the differences and decide if they are meaningful enough to you to decide one is worth $300 more to you and (3) find a store where you can pick up and feel the camera in your hands. Decide if it feels comfortable in your hand from both a weight and ergonomics perspective (very important).

Link to Digital Photography Review article on the camera line HERE.

This is not really a review. It is merely an article by someone who has handled a preproduction model and mentions all of the features and functions. There is no discussion on the quality of the pictures and their actual use of the camera in action.

Nikon has 3 new upcoming fixed lens cameras that are named the DL Series. They are: #1. DL 24-85mm F1.8-2.8. $647.00. #2. DL 18-50mm F1.8-2.8 $847.00. #3. DL 24-500mm F2.8-5.6. $997.00. Reviews may already be out on these cameras. These are B&H prices.

Not trying to be rude but this not new information. The announcement came a few weeks ago and has been mentioned on many photography sites, including this one. There are no reviews out at the present time. Only articles discussing features and functions. Cameras are being released in June.

I am looking to upgrade to an FX camera. I have several FX lenses. So far I am leaning toward the Nikon D750. Any thoughts about this camera? Should I consider a different model? Any feedback would be great.

I have previously owned the d750 and it is a great camera. I am curious if you have considered the d610 which is currently being sold for $1299 (body only). You can save yourself $700 vs the d750. I have owned the d610 as well and that takes excellent pictures. You can use the $700 you save and purchase additional FX glass or put it towards a memorable experience where you can exercise the camera and create some beautiful memories. Yes, I know the d750 has some additional feature (built in wifi, articulating screen, etc) but the you would be quite happy with pictures produced out of the D610. Just a thought. Either way, I can tell you that you will be quite happy with the results from either camera.

I was at my local Best Buy this morning and saw the ad under the Nikon D610. When I read it I thought it was a little off as I didn't figure the 80-300mm lens was so much. I came home and checked the Nikon site and found it WAS that expensive. I went right back and ordered the combination. It arrives Thursday.

When you take the SKU:2063106 & enter it into the search function on Best Buy it shows the combination to be $2299.99 on sale.

I went to two local best buy's near me in NY but unfortunately neither one had this deal. Oh well, it must be some sort of regional deal that is not being offered here.

Wow, great buy. Similar thing happened to me at Best Buy a couple of weeks ago. It was an unadvertised sale for the Nikon d5500 w/18-55mm lens for $499. I ended up buying it. I think I am going to exchange it to get the 610 instead. That will be quite an upgrade.

I can't believe the deal I got today on a Nikon D5500 w/18-55 mm lens! I happened to stop into my local Best Buy store after making a bagel run this morning. I stopped in the camera section, as always, and couldn't believe my eyes! $499!!! Brand new limited time only offer and not an open box special! This offer wasn't listed in their weekly ad or anywhere on the Best Buy website. The best price I could find anywhere on the web (including B&H and Adorama) was $350 more!!

I have just come out of some hard financial times and have been looking for a new dslr after having sold mine last year. I obviously couldn't pass this deal up.

The kit lens is fine to start given my recent hard times but hope to purchase a better all purpose lens in the next few months. Anyone have any suggestions?
